Sarah & Bobby's 11-13-11 WP/GF--Completed--ALL PHOTO LINKS FIXED!

Sarah,

I just read your PJ. popcorn:: Everything looks great! Can't wait to read more as you are getting so close.

I saw your post about the room block. We are going to down at WDW Nov 8-10, but staying at the Swan. What resorts do you have reserved? If it is one that works for us, I have no problem switching and helping out.

Yay Muse!!! I'm crazy about them!! That's a WONDERFUL choice!!!
That collage is really so sweet. It's so thoughtful!!!
Love the scentsy! Those things are amazing!!

Hi Sarah,

I just read through your whole PJ, and everything looks great! I love how frugal youre being and saving money every which way you can. I am a long time lurker, just waiting fior my boyfriend to pop the question sonwe can finally plan our DFTW!

Can't wait to see more!

Your shower looks like it was a good time! I really love that collage that your family put together for you!

I love your shower and am so glad you had a good time!! I am kind of in love with that scentsie. I don't have any but use the tart burners and think I may need to get one!!!

Sorry about the family drama and if you need to get bridezilla than do it!!!!

So I just sat and read all 21 pages of your PJ at once.... I WANT MORE! :goodvibes I'm actually a fellow Disney Bride getting hitched about 45 hours before you! Mine is 11/11/11 at CL, SBP & BW. Everything you've written about I'm like, I get it! I understand! We actually didn't sign the LOA til about a month ago- so I've got all of the wedding to get done in less than 3 1/2 months! But reading your info has been a huge help, your ideas & pics have saved me a lot of time and work! :woohoo: I guess I owe you one (or ten)!
Let me just say- kudos on losing weight, that takes a lot of conviction and dedication. You look radiant! You're dress is gorgeous, I Love it! Your bouquets look great. I've been toying with doing ours with faux flowers to save money (I have 12 BMs). Since yours came out so good I think I'll have to try it now! We might also use A Chair Affair for Chiavari Chairs (DFTW price is redonk). Are you getting them for $6 a chair? Anyway, it's about time I got started on my own PJ. Off to go figure that out! Can't wait to hear more from you! :yay:

:bride: Cheryl

Hi Sarah! Everything looks great!!! I'd like to see your final BEO if you get a chance to upload it. It took two months and we just now finally got our first BEO estimate and are in the process of cutting stuff out!! Hehe

Im intruiged by this 12 BM thing you speak of! hehe :rotfl: Hopefully I'll have some good updates as we both get so much closer! Woop! :yay:

So it has been an interesting few weeks to say the least...work has been RIDICULOUSLY busy and bothersome, the family drama continues, and tons of little things that pop out at you and demand either your attention or your money...or both. The family and work crap thats been going on has really started to wear on me and I am beginning to feel it physically too. I just dont know what to do anymore... :sad2:

Despite everything that has been going on, I have been very productive! I finished the FG/JBM gifts!

The younger girls will get these:

And my junior bridesmaid who is more of a pirate than a princess will get this:

Instead of bedazzling flip flops on my own for the BMs to wear at the reception I found these on sale at Old Navy and jumped! Theyre just dressy enough but still casual. They had everyones size which is great considering the sizes range from 7-12!--for clearance, thats great!

I also forgot to mention I bought my girls these necklaces for fun. They were very inexpensive and even though theyre not "legit" you get the idea and they still will remind them of the trip! The picture makes them look worse than they do in person...I promise!
IMAG0223-1.jpg

We sent out invitations about 2 weeks ago!! I am very pleased with how they turned out and am looking forward to getting more RSVPs back in the mail!!

I tried to make programs myself...spent too much money online for the materials and then everything I came up with just wasn't fitting the image in my brain. So I found some on etsy for a great price and will be ordering those.. they'll have black writing and a silver ribbon. I think they're just simple enough to do the job, but also just elegant enough so they don't look like i hired a bunch of kindergartners..lol What do y'all think?

I finished bedazzling my shoes! WoooHoo!! FINALLY!

Ohh....ummmm we kinda booked our honeymoon!!!:banana: We were thinking we would have to forego it right away because of timing, money, etc but the stars somehow aligned! We got a great deal and were not freaking out about the $$ or anything like that. Granted its not our dream honeymoon or what we originally planned on, but we have to live within our means...especially while were starting out with not very much to our name as it is. (That was my rational side talking...lol! My emotional side fights her a lot!) Anyways, we are going on a 5 night cruise out of Miami the morning after our wedding! It goes to Turks & Caicos, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau. Neither of us have ever been to the first two ports, so it should be exciting! Not to mention its our first "real" vacation we'll ever take totally alone! Sooo coool! :cloud9: I know you guys dont need a picture, but they make it so much more fun! :rolleyes1
carnival_destiny_rb.jpg

Have any of y'all ever been to Turks & Caicos, Half Moon Cay, or Nassau? We are trying to decide about excursions and stuff and would totally appreciate any input you guys have!

Bobby and I have found our first home!! Okay, so its an apartment but itll still be home to us!! Weve been searching for good places with good prices and then one fell into our lap last weekend! Its brand spankin new! Still being built, so we will be the first tenants in it!! It is slated to be done two weeks before the wedding but could be a little ahead of schedule (which would be nice) either way we will come home from a honeymoon to a brand new home to be man and wife in together! SO VERY EXCITING!! :woohoo:

My bridal shower is just about a month away! Im getting excited about everything as the dates get closer, I thought they would never be here...and sure enough they did!! I bought a dress today I really like and may wear for it but not sure yet, Ive seen some SUPER AWESOMELY cute dresses on Dillards lately and have had to stop myself from buying about 9 of them! :lmao: Its gonna be a hard choice if I go..either way, Ill post pictures of my choices again for everyones opinions. Yall were so helpful last time!

My veil has still not arrived! We ordered it in April! I wasnt aware it took 4 months to stick some rhinestones to a piece of netting... but evidently it does. Ive called like 3 times and im sure they curse me everytime I do..they keep saying well call you when it comes in..maybe Im just impatiently freaking out  I even had a dream that it didnt come in time and I had to run around Orlando to find a Michaels to buy a veil the morning of my wedding! It turned out to be an 80s type veil that stuck out away from your head...think below
article-1180255-000A828C00000258-908_468x695.jpg

Dont get me wrong, its nice and all..for the 80's and for someone else..just not me. Talk about a bad dream. So anyways the veil should be here this week, it just shipped last week. I cant wait to get it and put everything on together!! I just need to find the right undergarments now!

And last but certainly not least is the REALLY big news! DFs brother and GF..er fiance I guess of somewhat recent have decided to get married! And its this weekend! They have been engaged for about a month or two and when they finally broke it to DFs parents, they decided 2 days later it would be on the beach and the reception would be at DFs parents beach house...talk about short notice! I know they want it to be pretty small and intimate. It should be nice (esp since DFs mom has done a lot for it), and I am very happy for them. Although there is a small part of me that has other thoughts on it...feel free to fill in the blanks, girls.:rolleyes1 Also, a lot of DFs extended family will be flying in from New York and California to be there. Bobby hasnt seen them in maybe 10-15 years and I have obviously never met them so I am pretty nervous about it all. I guess itll be good though cause Ill have a better relationship with them at our wedding, which should be really nice! Hopefully it all goes well, Im sure it will but I still get nervous/anxious when I meet new people. :headache:

Phew!! Well I think thats pretty much it..you are all now caught up on my life and wedding planning for the most part! Were almost under 100 days! Tomorrow is 102!! I cannot believe its that close now...really! Hope you guys are staying cool in this ridiculous heat...tomorrow is supposed to be 111!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1: Im really going to try and update more this time...I promise! Now Ive got to go catch up on everyone elses plans! Toodles! :dance3:

Gah I'm a total sucker for bedazzled shoes. Love them!! All of your stationery looks beautiful. Congrats on booking your honeymoon! That is one of the best feelings, I think.

Sarah, I missed you! I love everything... your programs and shoes are especially beautiful!

And LOL :lmao:with your 80s veil. I think you should wear one anyway. You can bring it back!!!

Yes? No?

Bahahaha, Sarah, I'm sorry to laugh but your dream about the 80's veil made me laugh! (I think we all get dreams like that!) I hope your veil gets in soon so you can get a good nights sleep! :rotfl:

Congratulations, on the new apartment!!!!

Everything, everything looks great! Love love love the shoes! =]

Sorry to hear about the stress at work.. I must say it has to be something in the air. Because I have just about been the same. Half the times DF doesn't even know what to do with me. Stressed isn't the word! Let's home we all get a break soon! hehe.

As far as the meeting extended family situation goes, I can totally relate. DF has very little family, but at least 95% other than immediate family, I will be meeting the day we get married. Nerve wracking isn't even the word. I won't even know who anybody is on that side as I walk down the aisle! lol. Aoy. At least you get a bit of a heads up and can know some names haha! Good luck though! And have lots of fun and take lots of pictures! =] =]

ahhh where have i been??? oh yeah, wednesday was resort drama, yesterday was spider drama :rotfl2:

so i love your shoes!! you may have to tell me how to do it, because I may have to if I don't find something i love.

the invites are beautiful!! i love them!!

you have so much done :) hopefully the dramatics end soon--you need stress free living right now!!

congrats on the apartment!! how exciting!! that's awesome you'll be the first tenants!!

if you need anything... you know where i am!!

Wow, lots of updates! Your invites look gorgeous. And I love the person that you found to do your programs, they look like they will be really nice! I was on a Carnival Cruise that stopped at Nassau. We mostly spent the day shopping and walking around the main area, and then went over to Paradise Island to check out Atlantis. I think Atlantis is really much, much better than the rest of Nassau, so if you can afford one of the excursions there I would do it. You'll have so much fun though no matter what! I know that Carnival is the least expensive cruise line and sometimes gets a bad rap as being "lesser" than the others, but we absolutely adored it :goodvibes

Thanks! And yes, booking the honeymoon is a seriously AWESOME feeling!! :thumbsup2

Your invitations look great! Putting a spot for resort and reservation number - genius!!

Thank you! As much as I would love to take full credit for it, I stole it from a fellow disbride!

Sarah, I missed you! I love everything... your programs and shoes are especially beautiful!

HAHAHA :rotfl: As much as I would love to wear that veil, Im gonna stick with mine..I would hate for so many rhinestones to go to waste!

I LOVE your shoes!!

Thank you! :)

Congratulations, on the new apartment!!!!

Well thank goodness they called today and said it would be here tomorrow...whew! I was really starting to FREAK OUT! :scared1: I had just told my mom minutes before that they had until Friday before I went bridezilla on somebody! Its not that I must have it right now, but the principle of telling me it would be here weeks ago and then telling me the same thing over and over...so frustrating! Thanks, I am so excited to move into the apartment!

Everything, everything looks great! Love love love the shoes! =]

Ummmm...yeah. I read all about your spider and resort drama. You poor poor thing! I love the flops you and Jen found..they are PERFECT for your event! And thank you for all your kind words, there is so much to be excited about now since its all coming up so quickly!!

Totally agree 100%! Carnival does get a bad rap...its all about what you make it though. I mean, Ive been on several cruise lines and while none of them were exceptionally perfect in every way there was definitely something to enjoy. We enjoy carnival and are sooo looking forward to the places we will go! Thanks for your compliments on the invites and programs! :cutie:

So this past weekend went great. I met DF's extended family and loved everyone. They were so nice, and cooky (just like me and my family) so I felt right at home! Now I know that sounds odd, but really its a good thing! Everyone really seems to be looking forward to November which is something I was a little worried about. I didnt hear one (not one, zero, zilch, nada) comment about Mickey & Minnie, the castle, or any of those "jokes" we all hate!---which as you all know is such a breath of fresh air! I got to get to know them before the wedding which is great because then it wont be the awkward "welcome to the family" crap...after this weekend I totally feel like I fit in with everyone and am part of the family. I am so relieved..really!

So were doing some big changes with a few things. We've cut the castle off the cake :sad2: Bobby doesnt want it and would have been a pill on our wedding night if I would have surprised him with it...Im sad and disappointed but I guess I have to give in sometimes...lame. Anyways, we will just add more spray roses and put the P on top. Can you tell Im bummed about it?

We have decided against bringing our own floral that we made. Yes, we spent some serious time and money on them but to ship them down, pay someone to set up, and then ship them back we are well over what we would pay to get Disney or an outside vendor to do them for us. Which brings me to a whole 'nother dilemma. Which type of flowers to fill the rooms. I know I want at least half the tables with candelabras on them, the other half can be the silver bowl with floral in them. I want all white flowers but I dont know what is budget friendly and will also look nice. Any ideas?

Its going to be so nice not to have to ship a bunch of stuff and pay someone to set it up and then have to ship it home too...that was turning into such a headache...at least for us. If anybody knows approximately the cost of floral going in those silver bowls and candelabras I would be so grateful if they shared their info! Ive emailed the floral planner and am waiting on a response.

I would love to alternate these between tables, and have the flowers all white.

And I like these too

What do you guys think? And does anyone have any ideas of which flowers could help keep the cost down? I really love the first photo and that is my dream! Just not sure how much they generally cost...lol. Champagne taste on a Beer budget...story of my life. :sad2:

i think the floral decision will be less stressful. you don't want to have to worry about setting everything up. try to sell what you have on ebay as a set?? or turn into decor for your new place :goodvibes maybe try a mix of roses, tulips or lillies. the lillies take up space so that could help. i would give the florist your budget--and tell them to come up with something fabulous. i know we're control freaks, but it may be a pleasant surprise! i'm sorry about the castle :( it sucks when we can't win all the battles :sad2:
