I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Any ideas about what the time frame would look like for current cardholders if this rumor was true? Are existing cardholders grandfathered in for a period of time? I'd seriously rethink holding this card since I don't believe I'll be able to use the new credits, but my home airport has a Sapphire Lounge which complicates things! 😭
I'm wondering if it will be January for existing card holders as they switched everyone's fee to be on that statement earlier this year.

Just used husband's support link to app for the CSP and.... 7-10 day review. ( I downgraded to the OG Freedom last Thursday)

UUUUGGGGHHHHH the stress!!!!

Same! I just applied and got the "under review". I downgraded on Tuesday - from some dps on Reddit it seemed like after 48 hours the CSP would no longer show in your account.

Booked for my first ABD. Now to gather all thr dis gc 😂

Deposit helped with my DL spend too so I'll need to app for something in June probably. One advantage of trip insurance, which I need to sort out today, I don't have to worry about what card to put it on.
Fun! We did the Disneyland Backstage one 2 years ago and liked it

Wow I had briefly looked at this last night but didn't notice the 1x on other travel.

Most of my travel on this card is for car rentals since it has the best insurance (I believe the Ritz has the same).

I was already finally planning to downgrade this card in January (hoping to get one last $300 credit) after this year's trips were completed but this is just icing on the cake.
When I opened this card it was $450 then $550 for several years and now $795.

I might have kept it for a normal dining credit but the sapphire tables thing is not in my area so absolutely no benefit there.

The lyft credit I have already discussed here previously is not a credit on your account but instead done on lyft's side so it only applies to the ride portion and not tip. No chance to stack to Lyft Cash like I do with my AMEX.
Interesting that they are bringing Peloton back as a credit though.
From what I've gathered, people think that this is to push you into that higher product with the bank account. A few people also think they will launch a few of these products at once, and the travel credit will be via the Chase portal.
The bank account, from what I remember, was 150k in investments, etc, similar to the BOA cards. I also would assume the CSP would go to 1x also. But this is just more speculation based on me clicking a few other people's random opinions lol.
To be honest, it tends to make sense as much as it stinks. But at 1x Id move credit limits around and shift to another card. We shall see what happens.

DOC posted this today for Rakuten 7500 MR points for $20 spend. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/raku...nts/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebookSo

I have had a Rakuten account for like 15 years. My husband does not have one. I know there are some accounts that get "looked at" or shut down for referring your P2, I dont really want that scrunity. Opinions on if this one should be fine since it's not a referral?

If you’re not doing a lot of referrals I don’t think it’s a problem. I haven’t been shut down but I have only referred 5 people lol

I could extract the value out of the new CSR annual fee. I really like an EDIT hotel, though finding one in the Chase portal can be hit or miss. And I could make use of the dining credits and Apple TV.

I do wonder when this will hit. It would be nice to be grandfathered in and get some extra value, then PC before AF hits and earn a new SUB if the benefits are worth it.

Are you in an area that has the restaurants?

I won't be able to use it.

just looked only 4 cities for chase for now
O even worse.

I didn't even try and link my card since it didn't have anywhere near me.

It seems like these reservations are for Visa Infinite (Not Dining Credits) So I assume a Venture X would work as well to get the reservations.

If you have a Chase Bold or Boundless Bonvoy consumer card that you have held for at least a year, you could upgrade it to a Ritz Carlton card which is no longer available to new applicants. The Ritz card does get Sapphire Lounge access. The card's AF is $450, comes with a $300 airline incidentals credit each year and a 85k Marriott FN certificate.

So Fraud Prevention called me, asked if I applied for the card, put me on a brief hold, and then came back and said I would get SOMETHING in the mail in 1-2 weeks which could be either a letter explaining why they couldn't approve me for a new card, or a new card.

Anyone experienced this? I'm not feeling too good.

Ooh, thanks! I'll have to look into that.

I had a denial from fraud prevention in January for a CIU, even after multiple calls and uploading my driver's license and a utility bill proving my address. Then I applied for a CIP end of March and was immediately approved after that fraud phone call. I am not optimistic for you with a 1-2 week letter, sadly. I could be wrong...

I don't currently have either of these cards, but thinking about getting one (if this comes to pass) for exactly this purpose!

DW has been dealing with this. Got a letter and she called and had to upload drivers license and utility bill. A couple of weeks later, she received the exact same letter from fraud prevention. She called again and they said they had the information they need and we should hear something in the next couple of weeks. Very frustrating.

And she only has 2 open business cards.
