We found a company to do uplighting in the ballrooms for 1/3 of Disneys proposed cost! So we are going with them in addition to the small package that comes with the DJ. DF and Mom are gung-ho for blue lighting and really its not a battle for me. If thats just one of the things he wants, he can have his blue lighting! haha. Photos just for fun..



I found someone that we will rent silver beaded chargers from for the reception, instead of going through disney. She is renting them to me for $ .80 per charger! Its great!


Also, thanks to Amanda (Sccrmnky2005..woohoo thanks girl ) I will be renting Chiavari Chairs from A Little Flower Shop for $5/chair! Im signing the contract at 100 just in case a lot of people show and if we have a ton extra maybe we can use them for the pre reception or I will just cancel the extras and save some $$. Here's a picture, and its actually just about everything I want! I love the candelabras, floral chairs, and everything.. Its gorgeous!!

So I know this is going way back, I'm catching up on your PJ now. But can I get more information about the place you rented the chairs and chargers from and also who is doing your lighting?

I love all 3, but I think #1 is my favorite!!

This might be because I'm coming from Australia, and clothes here are so much more expensive, but $80 is down right cheap!!

It's a really cute dress and I think it will fit a lot more nicely in a restaurant. The other two are really nice too, but I see them more as an alfresco option

I wish I didn't love the most expensive one, but dress # 1 is my favorite! It's so pretty!

I like both #2 and #3. I think those two look more like "Bridal Shower" dresses anyway. And I'm with you, $80 seems like too much for a dress like that, even though it is pretty!

I think #3 screams "bridal shower" to me. #1 is very pretty, but I think it's more rehearsal dinner-y to me... so, what -I- would do is hold onto it with the receipt, and stalk the website to see if it goes on sale/clearance. Then, when it goes down, return the dress... and buy it again!

I like them all, but #3 is my fav for a bridal shower. #1 would make a great dinner dress for the honeymoon, and #2 would just be cute to wear on the honeymoon.

WOW! I was not expecting so much support and feedback! Thanks everyone!! And, we have a winner! #1 was the group favorite BY FAR! I am definitely in love with the dress and it was exactly what I was looking for! It fits great and I just love it. So Im gonna wear it. The price thing got me for a while, but I got over it.. I should be able to wear whatever I want to my bridal shower, regardless of the cost! I guess because Im in super saver mode lately I got a little antsy about it...I think of everything in relation to what it could purchase at the wedding..lol. Side story: A few weeks ago a huge group of our friends got together for a beer pong tournament and the winnings were $160 (split up between partners) and it just so happened that DF and my BFF's husband won!!! I kept telling everyone that his $80 winnings were going to pay for 2 people's open bar tab at our wedding!!! BAHAHAHA.....Needless to say I'm a little preoccupied with wedding and $$ right now. LOL...Is anyone else having this problem? Okay so anyways, I decided on the pink dress for this shower and I might wear the pastel one for a bridesmaid tea or something like that...its really girly for that type thing I think.

I bought some shoes for the pink dress! Of course Im gonna wear them with WAY more than this dress in particular, but I needed a better match than my current options. I LOOOVE THEM SO MUCH! Disregard the background...they only showed up decently on Lady's bed..

OH!!! We got our first gift delivered today! We got a trifle/dessert serving bowl from our registry!! Its from one of my distant cousins who wont be able to come to the shower, and most likely the wedding either. Do I send a thank you card now, or wait til after the wedding? I dont want to be rude? Im not sure what protocol is on all this?

Anyways, thats about it for now. I'm getting better about updating!...er, Im trying to anyways. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

UGGGGHHH!!!!! I had a whole long post written out...and it disappeared into the abyss! So this is gonna be short..

DRESS 1 IS THE WINNER!! I love it so much! I think I just got a little $$-shy because Ive been so wrapped up in saving money lately..I forgot that its for MY bridal shower and I should wear whatever I want! And so many of you kind ladies reminded me of that! Thanks for yalls votes! I wasnt expecting that many at all! You girls are wonderful! I think Im going to wear the pastel one for maybe a bridesmaid luncheon or tea...something like that since its so girly and adorable!

I found the perfect shoes for the dress...and had to have them! Sorry for the picture being on Lady's bed..its the only place they appeared the right colors..haha

Thats pretty much all I've got for now. Im trying to be better about updating more often..hopefully I'll have some good ones for you guys later next week and DEFINITELY after my bridal shower next weekend...WOOOHOO! Im getting very excited about it, even though its going to be all family (Ive got a decent sized fam) Im sure we will all have a good time and have some laughs at the very least!

Shower update - so how was it?

Sorry its taken me so long guys....some family DRAMA has stolen my stress and attention lately. Its getting pretty bad and has really had me down lately. I've recently come to the conclusion that nothing matters but Bobby and I. And if someone doesnt agree or like it, they can take their opinion elsewhere. If people cant get along, they will have to just not get along somewhere else....cause nobody will ruin my wedding! Even if it means I have to go Bridezilla on someone. Not that I would or anything...



So the shower was great. I had a wonderful time and it was lovely! Here are some photos.

For whatever reason, theyre not positioning themselves correctly..argh!!

My MOHs put together a collage portrait of Bobby and I, and our parents and grandparents wedding photos. It turned out AWESOME!! I cant wait to update it with one of our wedding pictures later!!

The scentsy I got...its so perfect for me!!

I dont have much else, photo-wise but i can tell you it was all great! It was so nice to be surrounded by the women that love me most. :cutie

Like I mentioned earlier there was some family drama surrounding and following the shower, so there were a few things I would change if I could but c'est la vie. Life goes on.

TODAY IS 4 MONTHS EXACTLY TIL WE GET MARRIED!!
Lately I havent been too busy. All of the crap surrounding us has me kind of down and putting wedding related stuff to the backburner...but since I have had my epiphany I've gotten more on the ball. We ordered GM gifts!!
Flasks with their initials engraved, so cliche I know..but we got a GREAT DEAL! cha ching!!

Also got cufflinks made from shotgun shells. These are right up our guys alley! And we got a good deal on etsy!

Got jewelry for my BMs. Just like these but in crystal and pearl.

The BEO and budget has been finalized!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! Now I just need my guest count to be a little more solid so I know exactly how much were talking $$-wise. Its all over the place! Our guest list is at 140-ish but weve estimated lowest case at like 60 ppl and highest at like 90-100. Its such a stretch!! AAAAAHHHHH!!! If you guys would like to see it, I can upload it, I just didnt know if anyone would want to see it or not.

We got our DJ! DJ Charles Miles!!! Ive heard such wonderful things about him, so I am completely at ease and am so excited to have him! Which brings me to....

We figured out our ceremony music, FINALLY!!!

Bridesmaids Entrance: Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring

Recessional: Starlight by Muse--but played with piano, cello, violin, and flute. It sounds so good! Bobby was not into the "trumpty dumpty" and I wasnt feeling the 80's hair band song he wanted....so we compromised. Im a looneytoon for Muse, so Im happy!

Now I just need to find and work on a program. Which brings me to my looming to do list...its getting pretty out of control, and time has slowly disappeared.

Reserve Rental Car
Gather all of BM gifts--Ive bought so much slowly I need to take a look and see what I need or dont need
Start packing up boxes to ship
Set up a storage unit in Celebration, FL
Assemble invitations
Find, Design, & Buy Programs
Rehearsal Dinner Invites--if DFMIL wants to do these
Make schedule for while were there, im nervous about this because I dont know just how much time we'll have to "play"
Look for decently priced and good quality hair extensions
Finish bedazzling shoe
Make altar arrangements
Start buying welcome bag contents
Find & Buy FG gifts
Book Day of Help for setting up, etc.
Settle on tux for DF and GM
Make welcome bag & folder paper goods
Oh, and drop 20lbs!

Thats all I can think of, but of course theres tons more!! Am I missing anything major?

I know I havent been around much lately and Im sorry...I miss yall, and feel TOTALLY out of the loop on everyones weddings! I'll catch up slowly though! I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying their wedding planning!

Aww thank you for your sweet words, its nice to know Im not the only one with a psychotic family.

A Scentsy is much like a candle warmer or a hot plate. You get these little wax squares and put them in the top and plug it in. You get TONS of scent from the little thing and its not an open flame. GENIUS!! They also have SOOO MANY scents to choose from, its insanse. I love Scentsy's and totally recommend them!
