Runny Egg Yolks

Just this morning, I made shredded homefries and had my over easy egg put on top of them to enjoy that way!

Runny/sunnyside up, please. When served with hash browns some of the runny yolk needs to intermingle and chased with a bite of sausage or biscuit.

I love eggs, although I have never heard of "rare" scrambled eggs.
Eggs Benedict is my favorite thing to order in a restaurant for breakfast. Nothing better than dipping hash browns in the yolk.
I get some folks don't like eggs at all. We have a friend who doesn't eat eggs, and rarely eats red meat. She had an extended hospital stay and she was annoyed that the Doctors and Nutrition team kept coming in and strongly suggesting she order eggs every morning for breakfast and beef for lunch and dinner. Apparently her blood work showed she was anemic and those are foods she should be eating. Two years later, and she had another Doctor who also says she needs to eat more red meat and eggs.

Hard boiled for egg salad or to throw in with a salad. My favorite breakfast egg is poached - runny center with cooked white. Like @BlueStarryHat with hot buttered toast. If I fry an egg, I’ll make it over easy and then crush the yolk onto my buttered toast. I also scramble - so fully cooked through and through. I only eat breakfast eggs maybe once a month, if that. I prefer cereal, oatmeal, fruit, or a smoothie.

When you scramble eggs you can reduce cooking time and they'll be a different (more moist) texture. I like them like that because they are fluffier that way. If you cook them too long, they just dry out and get crumbly. I'd never heard them described as "rare" but I knew exactly what was meant by it.:)

I like to dip toast in over-easy yolks, but scrambled or boiled must be thoroughly cooked. I'm weird, I know

Yes - I like dipping eggs...BUT...the whites have to be completely, 100% cooked through, and that's a hard balance to strike. Slimy whites are nauseating and I've actually had to slip away from the table a time or two to keep from gagging when others order them like that. :crazy2: I'll get gaggy right here if I think about it too much.

Sunny side up or over easy mixed in with grits, that right there is the best thing since sliced bread.

Nope. In fact no yolks (by them selves) for me at all. Scrambled or fried egg whites. All well thank you very much.
