New….. Airport Luggage Transfer (formerly Resort Airline Check In) Trial at Disney Value Resorts/Southwest Airlines

I recently stayed at pop for Halloween and I was scheduled to fly out Saturday 11-1-25. I called to ask about luggage since I was flying SW and was informed that I would need to turn my checked bag in before midnight 10-31-25 since I was being picked up at 10:20 am on Sat. I decided to just keep my suitcase. When this service was offered before Covid, I remember needing to turn in luggage 3 hours before your pick up time.

This is a new offering and still in Pilot testing and here are the current times:

It is strongly encouraged that you drop off your bags the night before your scheduled departure. However, if you need some extra time, you can do the following:

• When Flying Before 1:00 PM: Drop your bags off by 1:00 AM the night before your flight.
• When Flying at or After 1:00 PM: Drop your bags off at least 4 hours before departure or no later than 1:00 PM—whichever comes first.

Luggage Assistance is available to receive luggage any time from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, daily. You’re also welcome to use your in-room phone to contact Luggage Assistance.
