Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

Sorry, but we can't just let you toss out that list and go away. :-) You've got some 'splaining to do. How on earth could you put "Crystal Skull" above anything, much less "Last Crusade"??? Heck, "Last Crusade" gets 80 points alone just for Sean Connery!!!

See my above post on The Last Crusade. I liked Crystal Skull a lot - the 1950's vibe, the Preuvian mythology, Cate Blanchette as that intense Russian lady...it's a fun movie!

I just think Raiders is too long with some terribly drawn out chase sequences. It also suffers from Some-people-didn't-like-Temple-of-Doom-so-let's be-more-like-Raiders-itis. That's a trademark ailment that can apply to a lot of movies.
Do you mean "Last Crusade"?

And I certainly hope you aren't referring to the very fun scene where Indy chases a tank on horseback!

Reply, sorry, yes, Last Crusade. And yes, that and the motorcycle chase in Germany. The former is too long and the latter is altogether unnecessary.

Oooh I want to add to the rankings too - Millennial & first exposure to SW was the special edition rereleases in ‘97

1. Empire
2. Rogue One
3. A New Hope
4. Solo (don’t care I loved this one)
5. The Force Awakens
6. Return of The Jedi
7. Revenge of The Sith
8. The Last Jedi
9. The Phantom Menace
10. The Rise of Skywalker
11. Attack of The Clones

We also hate sand.

I once commented to my wife when we were back in our hotel after a trip to the beach that I was annoyed at all the sand on the floor and how that's an annoying thing about a beach trip. She responded "okay, Anakin".

Man, we really don't like Attack of the Clones. :D

It just has kind of the least...I dunno...energy? I'm not sure. I still really like it and there are a lot of great scenes, like when Yoda shows up to whip Dooku!

Ironically, the midnight premiere is still my favorite movie-going experience ever. I saw it in the big theater at the AMC in Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs) and the crowd was electric. The amount of cheering when Mace Windu and then Yoda showed up was incredible.

It was the script for me
I will NEVER understand why George Lucas didn't include Alderaan as a major setting in the prequels. Instead of having Bail offer to hide Padme on his planet (and get us attached to it before it goes boom!) they go back to Naboo because... the people hunting Padme won't think to look for her on her home planet?

And then nothing actually happens while they're on Naboo except Anakin having nightmares, and we all learned from the movie Speed (and The Empire Strikes Back) that stressful situations are the best precursor to romance! Make him protect her by himself! Let her see him as a "knight in shining armor" and not just a kid she knew on Tatooine. Give her some badass moments before the arena scene, too.

Just got back from Indy 5. I really enjoyed it. Definitely better than Crystal Skull and a nice goodbye to the wonderful world of Indiana Jones.
Thanks for the report, mdmost. I'm just watching Indy 3. So fun! Looking forward to seeing Indy 5.

BTW, true story: for the screensaver on my Roku, I use an app that rotates among the last week or two's "Bing photo of the day." When I switched my TV to the Roku input this evening to watch "Last Crusade," there was a photo of...Petra! Cue the "Twilight Zone" theme...

I watched Last Crusade last night, too, but we stopped right before the tank sequence. We’ll continue tonight. (Before moving on to three nights of Independence Day. :) )

Ok, I'll play. I've been in this fight since I was 7 years old
1. Star Wars (now known as A New Hope.)
2. Empire
3. Return/Jedi
4. Revenge/Sith
5. Rogue One
6. Solo
7. Force Awakens
8. Phantom Menace
9, Rise/Skywalker
10--tie between Last Jedi and Attack/Clones for the bottom. Depends on my mood. Today, AOTC is last

I was disappointed when TPM came out. Darth Maul and the soundtrack were awesome, but all we could think was 'we waited almost 20 years for this???' BUT after watching the Clone Wars, I appreciated the movie a lot more. It kinda felt like a long Clone Wars arc, so I do like it a lot more now.
I also LOVE Solo and hate it did so poorly, It would be so great to have it continue as a series.
Also, feelings have probably changed on ROTS, I might end up moving it down below Rogue and Solo, but not now.
I actually don't dislike Rise of Skywalker. It's quite a fun movie to me until the last 20 mins and do not like the ending at all. I very much enjoy Force Awakens and Rey.
One more note: I would put Andor right around Empire if series could be included. Andor was the best Star wars since the originals, loved it. REbels and much of Clone Wars I'd also put pretty high on the list. Last episodes of Clone wars are some of the best
This is a fun thread. Love seeing everyone's list, and all the variety. DH has a very different list from mine, and we have a lot of spirited debates around here.
