I have booked a split stay on points all from the same contract and Aug UY. I've been piecing the front end, BLT portion, together for over a month using a waitlist. If 11/16 doesn't come through, I need to drop 11/15. (I have an off-site, cash stay booked as a back up if my waitlist doesn't come through.) I currently have the waitlist scheduled to expire 31 days prior. If I change it to expire 7 days prior and it doesn't fill, what happens when I drop 11/15 which is only 6 days prior? Would those 11/15 points go into holding or would I lose them? If I would lose the points at 6 days prior, I won't be able to wait to see if the waitlist comes through. If they do go into holding, would I be able to swap the points in holding with the points used for the other dates I'm keeping?
