Roxymama's 5k to Marathon, Time to Collect Another Castle

It was on Pinterest so would have to be "do it yourself" but I'm sure Etsy has something. Lots of Pinterest stalking by me lately for ideas!

ETA I didn't make one, just found pic online

Ok, so had me a blind run today. 7 miles with 10:52 being my aim.

Weather was perfect. Almost 50.
I didn't bring water this time but around mile 6ish I could have used a sip just cause of dry mouth. This one felt good...ummm...

Yeah, ok? So those last few miles are super unexpected. Gonna hop in the shower and try to process if I felt that fast cause I guess?? But no, no not that speed?? I'd have believed 10:37ish maybe at the beginning but not those last ones??

Ack don't tell Billy!!!!!!!!!

I don't wanna go faster on the treadmill nights!!!!

QOTD: When someone offers unsolicited comments about your weight and your mid-section area while minding your own business eating lunch...how do you keep from going into an emotional caccoon while feeling like all this hard work isn't even worth it?
I did just laugh it off out loud and agree with the person so that I could get out and away from the conversation as soon as possible (I'm so non-confrontational), but now I'm feeling sad and bitter...sad + bitter = bad.
I know a lot of people talk about their weight struggles out loud but I do not because I've been kind of proud of my progress so I feel knocked down a peg. Also I wish people didn't assume I'm always trying to lose weight just because I'm a tall, curvy person aka not tiny. Sometimes I kinda like myself...is that so bad?
Lifelong struggle = needed to vent.

Ugh, people are the worst. It seems no matter what someone has a opinion about it and most of the time it isn't nice. I've run the gambit to being overweight and no one saying much of anything. Then after losing 100 pounds I've got a co-worker who won't admit I've lost anything. Others tell me, wow you were overweight but now it's better. And others say you're too skinny and you need to eat more. Can't please them all. I just remember that this is my life, my choice, and my goals. So I do the same and shrug it off with a touch of buzz off on your unsolicited advice.

Ack don't tell Billy!!!!!!!!!

I'd say we already changed the paces once before and we're only 8 weeks out. So at this point, we'll keep the paces as is until after Tink. But I'd say don't think of this as an "Oh no" moment, and more of a "I'm killing it" moment. Keep up the great work! :cool1:

Ok, looks like you had an awesome weekend! (And your pictures are just further proof that you're a hot mama ;) )

I seriously pack a pb&j almost every working day for lunch... and have Starbucks over my lunch hour almost as often. Best combo.

Aww geez thanks! A pbj sounds really good right now. I packed a plain bagel, not quite as tasty!
