Since our first Disney Cruise four years ago my kids have really gotten into pin trading but still at a 10 and 13 year old level... we like what we like and are really excited about lanyard pins.

We are planing a trip to WDW in early May and I stumbled across info on the "Disney Road Trip down Pin Route 498". It turns out this is happening right when we will be there. It seems like it might be too serious/intense for my kids and it is a little pricey. Any words of wisdom?

It is pricey so take a close look at the Disneygallery website and see if you like the pins and event merchandise available for sale to members who attend the event. Most poeple who attend these events do so not so much for the event itself(food, pin trading etc) but rather its more about going to the event for the opportunity to purchase the event exclusive merchandise. Their are pin games, event gifts, and they most likely feed you so take all of those factors in consideration when deciding whether its worth the $150...I hope this helps you a bit

So glad you asked the question. Will some of the pins be available after the event to the public. We saw Lilo & Tinkerbell pins that we may want, but cant' get to WDW to attend the event.

Thanks,

We're pin newbies! :wave2:

Some are available to the public after the event....others aren't!
If it says something like event only or event specific, then no the excess will not be sold afterward....they go into a stash they keep and then give them as gifts at future events.
