@bama_ed Thanks, as usual, for investing all that time in taking pictures, uploading them, and giving us the rundown (hah, unintentional pun, but I’ll take it)… it’s really appreciated, like the family member that takes time to make photo albums!

We had a good day. It’s 8:30 pm and we are in bed. The plan was to rope drop DHS and hit Rise first. We made it for our rope drop (no early 30 minutes for us this trip), but passed Rise. It was down and already had a 75 minute wait. Went to Smugglers instead. Than to ToT. Next was supposed to be RnRC but nope wait was 65 minutes. At that time the wait for Rise was 60. If I was waiting that long I was going to Rise. It was our second time on the ride. The wait was just under an hour. After that we needed some time off our feet, so Frozen sing a long.

It was noon so we decided to skyline to Epcot, get tapped in so we could try for GotG VQ. Nailed it, got group 106 with a call back at 4:30. Had some lunch via food booths and then went to my rundis meet. Saw some friends and chatted till it was 3:30 and went back to Epcot. Our meet was at Hurricane Hannah’s at the beach club. Rode GotG and then headed back to the skyliner and back to DHS to get the car.

Quick showers and then dinner at the hotel. Now we rest until 2 am. Alarm is set for 2:02 so we get our extra hour 😊

Ed, thanks for the rundown. And I admire you did it. Pat on the back. The sites looked really nice all lit up.

Banana bread may make me get up earlier!

I havent done rise yet, soon, I hope! But so far Gardians is my new favorite disney ride. Pretty awsome.

For us , we did animal kingdom, did RD for FOP, hit up the rest of the rides, and a few shows, and put at like 1230. Had lunch, napped, we were all tired. Dinner was a travel lasagna, got to love those things! And then watched the new minion movie on the outside projector. Took longer to rember how to set up the projector , find the wires and level it then it did to watch the movie. Lol.

Oh, and I noticed the changover from halloween to x mass, but no tree yet at disney the day after, and no tree at AK today? Usally they were the first things I noticed after halloween?

@Sjm9911 The transition takes a few days. Usually MK is first. With the new holiday events at HS I expect they are second, then EPCOT and AK will follow. As for resorts, I expect GF will be done first since they started the gingerbread house. Likely the rest of the monorail loop will follow. Youll wake up one morning and find all of FW decorated and the tracks are no longer pioneer, its pioneer christmas...

Ok we had them move us to site 550 so we have PLENTY of room for the welcome reception and pot luck. Power wasn’t working on our pedestal. Called the front desk and they had someone there to fix it in less than 5 minutes. Borrowed and adapter from @Teamubr just in case that hadn’t have worked. Tired to say the least. Our fault for getting such a late start.

Glad they have you moved to a good site. I pick up my Kenny Cart in the morning. We'll have to run down and see how the Premium folks live.

We took the boat over to MK this afternoon. The lake view of the resort not to be named is impressive. They have apparently been make more progress than what has leaked out. While the crane(s) are distracting, the columns rising from some of the old footings (foundation/footings work was well under way when things were paused during covid) was the real tell of progress.

The height and number of columns surprised me. I have the original permit drawings, but these appear to be in the location and alignment for one of the hotel buildings.

But on to more fun things. We made it into MK and were walking down Main St, when Tigger92662 called. They were heading over to Geyser Point to eat, so we decided to join them. Back to the boats and over to WL.

After some food and drinks, we all headed back to MK. Rode Tron (pretty cool) and Buzz Lightyear. It was 15 minutes before HEA. The hub was packed, so we tried going towards the entrance to see down Main St. That was crowded too and the Christmas Tree was blocking any good views.

Back at the camper before 10. No one was out, so we went in and ready for bed at 1030 (early for me)

Well we made it in today (Sat 11/2) and in site 1728 and here till 11/16. We left home at about 5:00 am, and arrived around 3:00 pm. We were planning on leaving friday and staying overnight at the I-75 GA/FL line (Eagle's Roost) but we were not able to get out in time Friday so we decided to just leave very early Sat morning.

Got here and set up the camper and unpacked the basics, then picked up a Family Chicken (I don't like the new "food court" method) then off to Wal-mart to get needed items we forgot. Such as sheets, blankets, HDMI cable for the TV.

I haven't added my name for anything on the Pot Luck, so I could bring something store bought. I didn't see anyone bringing drinks on the list, I can bring those such (tea, cokes, sodas).

See you around.

Kris you are there!!! hope you both had a great run! I cheered with my eyes closed....really I did. Though I did wake up in the 5s this morning (old 6s...guess my body clock needs to adjust). We shove off by 9am this morning. Have about 4 hours travel time with at least one stop mid way. Can't wait to join you all!!

Puzzle update.

Morning #1 is the boring job of separating pieces and starting the edge border. This is our puzzle.

And the progress.

Its a start. Thanks to @4077 for coming over this morning.

Bert and Kris, i hope you are enjoying being done with the Half. Congrats!

Ed

Ps - several folks packing up around us now or have already left.

I forgot to add that @Flametamr came by last night to say hello and we caught up for about a half hour.

He is a regular here for Halloween and is heading home to Mobile this morning.

Joe, i hope you make it over to our DISMeet at Gulf SP next spring if the schedule allows.

Ed

We finished. Bert had a rough go of it. Not sure why he had been training but his body failed him. I guess that is what happens when you turn 50. He did finish just slower than expected.

For me I did about what I was expecting maybe even a little faster. My knee hurts though. It is not blown up, I can walk, but it hurts and my range of motion is diminished. Again I guess that is what happens when you are 50.
