Roise was not fighting for politics. She is trying to save the lives of our boys in Iraq. She is trying to save the lives of innocent men, woman & children. Bush went against the UN & invaded a Sovereign nation who did NOTHING to the USA. He is a criminal & will be grouped with the others in History.

Who is the enemy? I thought "the enemy" would be the ones responsible for 9/11. How did Iraq 'become' our enemy. Iraq was 'our friend'. I have an old history book of Saddam and Ronald Reagan shaking heads all smiles and giggles. According to history it was Iran that was 'our enemy' - although we did support them both (with weapons) while they fought each other. Just curious to who 'the enemy' is and how they became 'the enemy'.

I wonder the same thing. Bin Laden is still free, Bush holds hands with Saudi princes. We don't seem to be going after the people responsible for 9/11, we have created a new enemy and we don't really know who that is. We are in a war that can not be won, because there will always be terrorist. Instead of spending all that money in Iraq we could have made this country safer. The troops should be guarding the ports, we should have better screening at airports, train stations, subways. Because I think Bush is wrong about fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here. They are here and they will stike again and we are not going to stop them by fighting a civil war in Iraq.

I am glad Rosie is gone. I loved her old show, use to buy the magazine, but like other posters, Rosie seems to pack up her toys and go home when she doesn't get her way.

Rosie has changed, and I don't like what she has become. However I am by no means an Elizabeth fan! Elizabeth doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb in the lot and doesn't always seem to have a good grasp of the topics being discussed.

Like others, I doubt the View will last much longer.

Have you heard they are getting out the old DRAFT equipment? They are testing it out. Any mother of a boy should be very scared. If this WAR is allowed to continue your sons will be DRAFTED. This WAR was an attempt to steal Iraq's OIL. It back fired because they set the oil fields on fire & they still burn.

And I find it kinda hard to believe that if they were going to institute a draft that in this day and age of modern technology they would drag out 30 year old equipment. LOL

IMHO,Rosie's anger started near the end of her own show-WAY before GW was elected, WAY before 9-11. I used to watch her show all the time and loved it, but towards the end of the run, she just seemed angry and unhappy all the time. She's said publically that she's had emotional problems, I don't think they started with 9-11, but I think they got worse.

I feel very badly for her, because I think even with all she has, her children, her relationship and her successes-she's still not a very happy person.

Haven't boys had to register at 18 for MANY years? I thought they had to when I was in high school- I don't think this is new.

I'm totally convinced a democrat will win the next election....

Makmom is correct. She said she was diagnosed with clinical depression after Columbine. She is under treatment, including medication. With 10 soldiers killed on Monday alone, well there is plenty to be depressed and angry about without biological depression.

Well first of all all boys have had to register since 1980 when Jimmy Carter reinstituted that. So thats hardly a new practice.
Also I read your article link and thats a personal opinion of a military person. He was talking about various ways to have availalbilty to more soldiers should they be needed.
In fact the one politician in that article (a republican) was not in agreement.

Anyways, I'm stepping out of this because my son happens to be a soldier, in fact he enlisted after we went to war with Iraq so I'm very proud of him and these type of discussions really bother me because the way some people talk seem anti-soldier and thats disheartning to me.

I agree with whoever said Rosie was "angry" near the end of her own show and it has only gotten worse. I don't think her "anger" is really about any one thing- she just seems so full of venom- I think she is desperately unhappy. I can't imagine she's a pleasant person to live with- poor Kelli and the kids. Of course I only know what I see on tv.... but it's not pleasant.
