Rita's Italian Ice - Anyone else addicted?

It's been so darn hot, Rita's has become my new addiction! Anyone else have this problem?

Absolutely. If it were closer we could certainly spend all our fun money on gellati's and Misto's.

We're getting one right up the street soon. What should I try? I've never been to Rita's - never heard of it either.

mm gellati's are yummy! I love the Raspberry ice with vanilla in the swirl!

I have not been in a while though as it was getting expensive with 4 kids and a gelati happy mom! But we need to hit it soon. My kids love the mango ice. The only thing I have had that I don't like are the mistos- I must have picked a bad combo because it didn't do it for me.

Have you tried that coffee thing yet? Is it good?

Ritaccino - the coffee thing is amazing. You gotta try it.
One of ours has strawberry custard now. Yummy.
I love the new Key Lime ice.

I've only had the Misto's!! My fave's are Coconut creme, Pina Coloada, Banana, Key Lime and Georgia Peach... I didn't care for Raspberry and I didn't care for Chocolate Covered Cherries... DH's fave is Strawberry. My boys prefer the Italian Ice. It helps to get the frequent buyer cards too. They are a bit pricey but we don't splurge on a lot of stuff and these aren't any more expensive than DQ or Cold Stone...

Has anyone tried the "sweet tea"? I haven't seen it here yet but noticed it on the menu online...

If you haven't tried Rita's I would definitely recommend it. I don't care for Italian Ice in general which I guess is why I prefer the Misto's but I'm thinking of trying a Gelati...

Can anyone recommend a good Gelati?

We're hooked on the vanilla Rita's ice. Also love the Georgia peach, Alex's lemonade and root beer.

Ds has a June birthday and the kids just love it when we bring out the quarts of Rita's. I also get it for the class end of the year treats.

I love the new Key Lime ice.

We have a quart of Key Lime and a quart of Strawberry Kiwi in the freezer right now. I debated stopping by Rita's on the way home today to see if they had Mango...

YES! It is sooooooooo good and tastes like real Southern sweet tea (I was born and raised in Charleston, SC where the real stuff is so good!).

I also like the Alex's lemonade flavor, watermelon and the Georgia Peach. I tried the Cherry and liked the flavor but hate real cherries and kept spitting out the chunks of cherries in it. Blech.

Oh man I need to go to the freezer and satisfy my Rita's craving!

I love it, but I don't go that often, spend way too much money with the 5 of us all getting something. I did sign up in their store and I get emailed the flavors of the day along with a coupon, usually 20% off your order. That helps if I can just remember to print it before I go.

I'm addicted to the gellati's. The vanilla custard with any of the ice really does it for me. We have two Rita's stands by us...very hard to go by them and not stop.

I can walk to a Rita's from my house. I'm on a little Rita's boycott right now since they got rid of the coffee flavored soft serve. The Ritachinno was excellent with coffee flavored ice cream instead of vanilla.

All I can say is I've been addicted for over 8 years.....maybe 9 or 10. We've had Rita's around here for a long, long time.

I've been addicted for a long time. My favorite is a Gelati made Banana Split ice. I put chocolate on the top and vanilla on the top.

We are in Poquoson so we go to Newport News... google Rita's Italian Ice and you can do a search to find the closest one... DH and I were just saying this weekend that they should have one on the ocean front...

Pretty addicted, yeah -- but I'm okay with it, since they always have at least one sugar-free flavor! My faves are the sugar-free Tangerine and sugar-free Pink Lemonade
