Rita's Italian Ice - Anyone else addicted?

We went last night and the girl who waited on us told me that there were specials during the week:

Monday - 50 cents off Mistos
Tuesday - double stamps
Wednesday - 50 cents off Gelati's (I think)
Thursday - Family night, Free child size Italian ices

Last night our order for 4 came to $5 and some change... I had a BOGO coupon (thanks to whomever suggested the b'day club signups) and I had a fully stamped card. So we got 2 mistos, a cone, and a kid size italian ice. The only thing we paid for was DH's Misto - Just can't beat that!!

I love the raspberry Misto, root beer ice and vanilla ice (the frozen treat, not the singer ). I tried a sample of the peach, but it tasted like a peach Jolly Rancher to me.

I actually bought 2 quarts of Rita's at the end of the season when I was pg with DS and kept them in the freezer to take with us to the hospital when I was in labor (mid-January). I ate them instead of ice chips during labor and left the rest of it for the nurses to finish (they were more than happy to and kept asking how I got Rita's in the middle of winter).

We get coupons in our Val-Pak coupon mailings as well as on the back of our grocery store reciepts from Giant.

Hello!! My daughter went to a sleepover party and the dad hipped me to his little trick!
He takes rita's and tops it off with some Grey Goose Vodka- blends it up- adds ice if it is too thin and then drinks it!! I'm in love.

I just got home with a Key Lime Gelati and it's YUMMY! I jokingly asked the guy "Don't you ever have blueberry anymore? I've been here many times all summer and you never have it on the days I come!" He said "yes, we do and you can check our website for daily flavors". Turns out my local location has their own website that you can go to for their specials and daily flavors!!!

Today is Ritas day for us. Last week we learned that they have "double punch Tuesday" which means that they double-punch your frequent buyer card. When you're buying for a family of 4, plus maybe a friend or 2, that's over a whole card punched.

Maybe that will give you all an excuse to go today also!

Recently weaned myself off gelatis and shakes because I'm kind of watching what I eat. Now I just get plain ice and as a result, Rita's trips are way cheaper. Although that custard....mmmmmmmmmm!

I didn't even know they had a frequent buyer's club. I need to go to Rita's. I have to try the Georgia Peach. I love the gelati's and my favorite flavors are banana split, pina colada and vanilla.

I have come to like rita's since my favorite water ice store went out of business. love mint chocolate chip or orange ice with vanilla ice cream. tastes just like a creamsicle pop. i'm lucky to have 3 within 5 miles of my house. don't forget the free reugalr size in the first day of spring special. i look forward to that every year.

Doesn't it!?! Last year, there was a line a mile long. And everyone was all bundled up in their parkas, hats and gloves it was so cold. But, people will do anything to get their Rita's(especially free)!

We actually went last night for the first time in two weeks. Both of my boys tried it and DS6 got it so I tasted it. It tastes just like Cotton Candy, just colder and less sticky I'm not sure how it would taste in anything beyond Italian Ice... but it was definitely yummy

I'm currently eating blueberry! 2 weeks ago they had both of my favorite flavors in one day - watermelon and blueberry - and they hardly ever have either. I bought a large of each and keep it in the freezer so I can have some each day.
