Rip, Ride, Rockit!

Just went by the other day and the beginning of the ride looks very daunting to the passerby .... I'll definitely try it but will be probably be screaming louder than the music on the way up. lol and on the way down ... lol (Is it just me or does it look straight up and straight down?)

On the Orlando United forum someone posted that they heard that during the multi-train test the other day that the floor boards on the trains cracked. http://www.orlandounited.com/forums/showthread.php?p=65143#post65143

I was optimistic that things were looking up for the ride progress and now I saw this and am losing hope again. I was hoping that it would be open when I went the end of August, but now I don't know. :sad2: My hopes keep going up and down about the ride opening.

Hmm, not sure whether to believe that or not, just a comment someone has made and I can't find anything to back it up. Has anyone else heard about this? :confused3

I absolutely do not trust the source who posted on Orlando United. If the floorboard was cracked, why are they still running all 4 cars for testing? This just seems like the rumor that the lift was in the wrong place and they'd have to tear it all down and rebuild. That turned out to be total nonsense.

They would not be running the cars if the floorboards were cracked. And yet, the testing still continues with all 4 cars.

Considering that the floor of these cars are made of an aluminum mesh (you can see through them), it is highly unlikely that they cracked.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Just a tad over a week and we will be at US/IOA, so I hope it's open by then.

I am guessing within the next two weeks...mid august, as soon as the re-programing is complete.

I have heard from those who have had the opportunity to ride that the music really makes the ride. I cannot wait until TM previews!

Sorry if this has been asked, but where exactly will the queue be for this ride?? I've seen some videos of the ride but cant pinpoint the location within the park. Thanks!

Please, please, please be open for next week................would hate to miss it by a few days as not back in Florida for a couple of years!!! Need more up dates on planned opening dates!
Debxx:goodvibes

I wonder how it compares to Rock n Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios. The music on that one makes the ride for me.
Have you heard anything about TM previews coming up anytime? I hope the ride opens soon because my kids are really looking forward to riding it. I haven't decided for sure if I'm too chicken, because of the hill that goes straight up.

I think the hill going straight up is easier than when the hill goes straight down. jmho (Ever been on Griffon at BG-Williamsburg?) OMG. It sits at the top of a 90 degree drop, leaving you hanging there a few seconds before they release the brake and you drop. :scared1:
It's only 3 rows long (but very wide) so being Chicken Little I sit it the back. :guilty:

Coasters with a hill that goes straight down are my favorite kind. The view is best in the front, but you get the best airtime in the back. When I ride SkeiKra at Bush, I lean forward into the harness with my arms and legs straight forward and by butt doesn't touch that seat. It's the best!

The queue is just to the left of the new music stage just past Jimmy Neutron. If you go just past Neutron you can see the signs for the different lines, including one for single riders:cool1:.

This coaster looks amazing!! Was gutted it wasn't open when I was there but hey- gives me a reason to go back! What I noticed though was thta it was being tested loads but also that they always had cranes with people seemingly fixing it? I don't know if this is done when testing but considering we were only at the park for a few hours on about 4 mornings- they always had someone fixing it. Maybe it wasn't being fixed?

I love Sheikra!! I rode it about 10 times the year it opened. I would love to ride it again now that they have removed the floors!! :cool1:

Donaldduck, I'd be right there with her riding it all day! I love the Platinum pass because you can do the rerides with it, so you can double your rides. I could ride SheiKra from opening till close, with maybe an occasional break for Montu.
