Continues hot here too. Hard to believe August is here and school will be starting soon. Kids have got to get moving on their darn summer reading. I HATE having to bug them to do work in the summer. Doesn't seem right.

I bug DS all the time, Carol. And torture him. I always remind him how much easier the school year is if we do a little work over the summer. The comment is received with groans and general disgruntledness but hey.......mommy knows best!

Good morning all! pm sent and answered already! Gina's fast this morning. (and before someone else says it, I guess she's fast most days! )
Thanks to everyone for their good thoughts and prayers for Len's Dad. He had his surgery at 6 last night and everything went well according to the doctor. He's back in ICU for a couple of days so that they can watch him closely, but hopefully everything will be fine. Len's brother said that he seemed more like himself and relieved to have it over when they saw him afterwards last night. He is one tough old bird at 91, bless his soul!

It's still hot here, too. DS-14 has been at football camp since Sunday (will be home tomorrow afternoon). I just hope the coaches are making them drink lots of water.
