Hi All--I have seen reusable water bottles with little filters in them. I know one of them is made by a company called Bobble. I have seen many others on Amazon.com but was wondering if anyone had an experience using them or preferred one type over another. My DH and I really despise the taste of Florida water and I was hoping getting these bottles with the little filters in them would eliminate much of the taste and smells we dislike.

Side note- When we have gone to WDW in the past we have brought regular reusable water bottles and covered up the taste of the water with drink mix packets, which is a great idea. Sometimes however, we just want straight, unflavored, water.

Thanks for any help/tips!

On previous trips I have used a filtered water bottle made by Brita, which sadly, is no longer in production, and so obtaining replacement filters has become an impossibility.

On the brighter side, many have come out with similar filtered water bottles (as you know from your amazon shopping) and I can say, in my experience, it worked very well filtering out that taste you both so despise.

Hope this was helpful!

Oh, and when we got ours we found them @ Walmart...

If you don't want to carry the bottles to the parks, the water at CS locations is filtered (and free.)

I use a filter that fits a regular water/soda bottle and have done so for many years.
culligan-SB-1R. I order mine from waterfilters dot net. they're about $13 for a pack of 2.

These are great b/c you can re-fill any time and don't have to carry a full bottle around.

Carry an empty bottle through security (never had a problem) at the airport and fill up at any water fountain.

The filters don't fit coke product bottles but do fit other brands. Try a bottle 'for size' before you go on property. I find A-treat soda bottles fit just fine.

I purchased bottles from Pure Water 2 GO before our trip last September. I absolutely love them! They have different sizes and styles to choose from.
I was amazed at what a difference the filter made in the taste of the water.

I cannot post a link to their site but you can just google Pure Water 2 GO.

I saw one online, called Fit N Fresh, that's sold at CVS Pharmacies. I'm leaving in a week so I don't have time to order one. I was looking for something in a store. I'm not seeing the Bobbles sold in many stores and none close to me.

I made a trip to Dallas (an hour away from me) and bought a Bobble while I was there. Some were in packages but most were not. The color I wanted was not. I knew from other things I've used with charcoal filters that you are supposed to rinse them out before using them. Since I didn't have a package with directions, I got on the Bobble web site and read the directions--boy am I glad I did. :crazy2:

In case you get one without a package, you are to fill the bottle with water, screw on the lid/filter unit and squeeze ALL the water out of the bottle through the filter. You will see LOTS of charcoal residue come out at first but then the water clears about half way through squeezing out the water.

I use this same bottle and ordered from the same company - great service and super fast shipping... Loved it!

Unfortunately, we lost our bottle on our last trip to WDW - and I ordered lots of these same extra filters to go with it, I keep putting off ordering a new bottle for them. However - I love this advise! I am going to try it... thanks for the info! :worship:
