Resale shopping again.. my heart wants one thing but my head says another. Give your opinions.

Yeah, definitely not worth it! That's why the Sorcerer pass is so enticing to out of state WDW DVC owners. It's almost half the price and only blocks out Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

I wish Costco sold that DL ticket package online! I think I saw California, Oregon, and Washington warehouses are currently selling it.
they should sell it online to members, why not

All my surveys they send after parks visits I’m going to say later hours are needed.
How is it that I get a survey every single time I visit DLR but almost never at WDW?
There were some insane discounts on "off-resorts" at the character warehouse during our last trip so I gave in and we got some from resorts we didn't own as we love those comfy DVC sweaters and they were so cheap, @MrsNVDISFamily really wanted some more of them so we gave in. There was also a very cool button up from Caribbean Beach I almost purchased and now I'm regretting not grabbing it.....

Oh well, I can always do what I do when I am silly and don't grab something I'm conflicted about and regret not getting during my WDW visits...... stalk ebay :)
I am so anti-merch scalpers so I feel bad shopping on eBay, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I’ve bought stuff I regretted not having in the parks once or twice, I also find that if we go at the very end of a festival at EPCOT they are usually sold out of the bonus prize stuff so I try to secure it on eBay before we go if I love it…but also sometimes I just walk through the parks and see something I absolutely love and it turns out it hasn’t been sold for 5+ years and then I’m hunting for it on eBay during the next queue.
Not a blended coffee but an espresso with milk and ice. So about half way between a coffee and milkshake.
Hmm, not enough sugar and whipped cream if you ask me.

None of the resorts will be great to explore in the rain, sadly. One of my favorite things at WL is the walk to the boat dock when you go across the little boardwalk paths. It's very serene but wouldn't be enjoyable in rain.
Those photos are so charming and make me want to visit WL (for the first time ever) ASAP, but our next visit is in August and I don’t think that walk will be pleasant in August… are there other times of year that are best/worst?

I actually think BCV is pleasant to explore in the rain— sure not for stormalong bay, but there are lots of rooms with big windows to sit and relax in and it’s all connected (along with Yacht club) indoors or under a covered breezeway.
So far I am 😍😍😍. Damn I own at nice DVC property.
This would be the perfect Disney ending to your quest. 🥰
Being an owner I should know this but is CCV getting a hard goods or soft goods refurb? The condition of this studio is actually great and I’m shocked it’s due for a refurb.

That is such a nice view for a resort view. I wonder how loud the pool noise would be on a pleasant day in June/July. If I ever make it to CCV I want to feel like I’m lost in nature.

20% off is the WDW DVC discount on merchandise except for select places like Arribas Brothers, Basin, etc. Most stores in Disney Springs don't qualify for the 20% unless they are owned and operated by Disney. Other stores in DS vary from 10%, 15%, 20%, etc. (very similar to AP discounts).

For the 20% off merchandise in DL you need that expensive Inspire Key
I can never keep track of all the discounts. When I’m at restaurants I just ask “which Disney affiliation gets me the biggest discount” and they look at me funny and say “which do you have” and I say “pretty much all of them, try me.”
I don't blame you! That crazy price on top of the reservations which are hard to secure and you get penalized if you miss a day 🤯
I had the Dream pass at launch and didn’t renew because securing reservations was so annoying…it felt insulting to know they were selling day tickets but I couldn’t visit if I wasn’t able to plans several weeks in advance…wasted a decent amount of time refreshing and stalking. I also realized about 50% of the way through the year that having the Dream key was making us go way more often to get value out of it, but then when we were there we paid for F&B and LL, sometimes a hotel, etc., let’s just say we weren’t making it up on volume. 🤣

Unfortunately the modern corporate strategy of price discrimination comes for us all. Disney doesn’t want to make it easier for DVC members to spend more time in the parks because they already have us committed to our annual number of points/days on property…the Costco deal is trying to get people who are on the fence and whose kids (who heard about the 70th celebration from their friends) tug on their sleeves with big puppy dog eyes and say “please can we finally go to Disneyland?”

Also curious. We are here again in August but after that never ever again May-August. I just can’t.

Today the pool was empty. I’ll have to see if it’s poppin in the am.

Well I’m glad one of us call tell them the parks close too darn early!

Yeah a very cold day, rainy day, or even better, day with thunderstorms, seems like the perfect day for that view. I could sit on that balcony in the warm rain for hours with a good book…or, let’s be honest, DISboards thread.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure both your DVC Loungefly backpacks came from eBay, LOL. And true, I had to pick up that zip up hoodie (DVC for Saratoga Springs) because it's so soft. For $16, can't go wrong with that! You have the same style hoodie from Grand Californian, and it's so comfortable that I've been wanting one forever. I'm also more interested in buying what I like, whether it's DVC or not. I saw the cutest shirt at the Art of Animation resort when we were visiting to check out the pools, and bought it even though I've never stayed there.

This is it, I got tired of refreshing and stalking. DvC is worth it because were getting a significant discount on these rooms, but I wasnt even getting value out of my pass anymore, we were paying more than we were going. I took a 5 month break and now I really had a good time when I returned. Paying $100 a day for a ticket and having no blackout days, I dont feel stressed or as though im being ripped off anymore

She’s even more impressive at Christmas. I got goosebumps and swear I got a little teary eyed the first time I walked in the lobby during the holiday season. We were just doing a quick holiday weekend at OWK and wanted to check out holiday decorations around the resorts…We got home and put an offer in that week lol
Hope you’re having a lovely and enlightening trip so far!

I get why they do it but I hate this policy. I forgot to cancel my reservation for tomorrow. I need to go on Tuesday but now I have little choice but to go briefly tomorrow, too. I know it’s not the end of the world but definitely inconvenient. I already have one missed reservation from last month and I don’t want to risk getting locked out if something really happens and I can’t make it another date 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s silly but I feel like a truant kid missing school.

It was here, walking that path to the dock in our first hour at WL that I knew we had to buy some points there. I love bcv, but ccv is probably my favorite dvc.

This is why I need coffee options close by in the lobby. This is mold my friends. 🤢 I can’t modify the lattes at the one place here on mobile order to have non dairy milk 🫤 Hopefully the line isn’t crazy long. Minor inconvenience.

This is why I wish more DVC's were like RIV!!! Ain't no body got time for the mold lol I greatly appreciate the VDH coffee shop, and how it opens at 6am. How far of a walk is the Boardwalk coffee shop from the DVC Wing?

For us the room we were in at BWV wasn’t too bad. It was rather busy. Today at CCV the line was pretty short.

Although if you have magic beyond, you can get pretty much the same deal through DVC by calling. Main difference is that you have to use the 3 days within a 13 day period, but most people would. Of course, MMB is an extra cost so it's only comparable to the Costco deal if you already had it for other reasons.

Hmmm might have to add a coffee maker to my ongoing list of supplies for the new Owner’s Locker. 🤢

Oh man, I really love WL and the rooms at BRV, and this thread is making wonder if I should let go of the 2042 thing and buy points there! Then I
read this article where Tom Bricker calls BRV the best rooms on property and I started looking at contracts 😂 https://www.disneytouristblog.com/best-rooms-wilderness-lodge-boulder-ridge-villas/

We haven't had a lot of issues getting weeklong stays there, but I know in December it would be very difficult and I'd love to try that sometime. Maybe I'll try swapping points with another member first and see if I do need to own there to get December stays...

Anyway, I hope @VGCgroupie had a pleasant time boating to MK!

Talk about a refurb completely changing the trajectory of a resort…

It wasn’t that long ago that BRV was considered only suitable for filming horror movies….

We bought the 4 day tickets which are good until August and then the costco deal to cover the rest of the year minus september.

Im using them to go once a month so im glad they dont have any restrictions on having to use them within a short amount of time and im also avoiding being blocked out of everything and having to refresh an availability calendar multiple times a day or punished if I get sick or change my mind.

This is less than half the cost of the inspire key and the costco has lightning lane. Holidays at Disney are around $200 a day, which is why the magic key just makes no sense to me anymore
