Hi All,

Has anyone rented a car during their stay at one of the resorts? Can the concierges arrange for one, or is this something you have to arrange yourself?

we havent rented one during but before hand we have , I believe at the Swan or Dolphin forget which one , you can rent one they have one of the companies there plus there is always the Hess Station near the WDW Speedway

I always rent a car, sorry but I am just not a bus person, ALAMO is on property. I am not positive that concierge can do it for you but they seem to do everything else for you.

they will help you at the resort. Hess has a shuttle that will pick you up from your resort and take you back to hess to get the car and fill out paperwork. when you are done they also take you back to your resort. You can also go to the dolphin or swan to get one.

National/Alamo at the on-site Disney Car Care Center (near the MK parking lot) provides a shuttle to/from your resort during business hours. (The Hess station mentioned by the PP may be the Car Care Center, but since there is another Hess on property, I thought it helpful to specify the Car Care Center.)

also, there is a National/Alamo rental desk at the Dolphin (fantastic agents - we rent from there at least 2x a year).
personally, i would try to rent a car in advance. it will likely cost less, and you do not run the risk of having no cars available (yes, it can & has happened) or limited options (such as, only highest priced available, and/or available vehicles too small/large for your party).
if you book in advance, most often you are not charged until pick-up. it is just courteous to cancel the reservation as soon as one knows they will not be using it.
