Reason to onboard book, if no discount?

A cruise out of NY looks good to me, but no discount if I understand. It's from NYC to Puerto Rico in Nov 2016. Is there any reason to book onboard? Reduced deposit? Onboard credit?

I believe the deposit is only 10% if you book onboard and that you get $100-200 onboard credit depending on cruise length.
