I'm so thankful for this board - seriously I don't know how other people navigate without it! I'll be at DHS 6 weeks from tomorrow and I'm hopeful things will be running so smooth by then! This time last week I was nervous but not so much anymore.

Now - what's everyone doing first once they get their BG? I'm trying to figure out if we should head to RNRC or MFSR? We have a FP for SDD at 8:30 so not concerned with that.

I will be there on Dec. 28. We plan on being there before the 6 a.m. ropedrop time, and will try to get a boarding group. Once they day your boarding group is ready to board, how long do you have to get to the ride? We have a ADR for Olga's at 9:45 a.m. Should I just cancel it? What if we are at our 11:25 lunch? Riding ROTR is our number one priority for the day, but the boarding groups really make it hard to plan your day.

2 hours to come back to RotR

If you are planning to spend the entire day at DHS or are planning on coming back to DHS later in the day, I recommend doing MFSR at the end of the night. Everyone rope dropping goes either to MFSR or SDD, leaving the Sunset Blvd attractions with very short waits

Left room at BWV at 605
Arrived at security at 615 and when right through.
In line 2/3 between ticket booth and security.
Tapstyles opened at 630.
Went to the right and was in park by 645.
DD and I both tried to secure BG at 700 and she secured BG 28 (she almost had 22 but accidentally backed out).
BG28 called at 823

Couple thoughts FWIW:
DD used park wifi while I tried to connect using Verizon. I had a strong signal and no signs of lag, but she still beat me to the BG.
I would recommend using the park wifi to connect, but don't stand near a large crowd which could overload specific wireless access points or slow it down. We were on Sunset away from everyone else.
How did you travel from BWV. I will be there in March and staying at BWI trying to figure out the quickest way to get to HS. TIA

I wonder when MMRR opens in March if this strategy will change. More people will hopefully head there lol

You have 2 hours to return.

This is our plan on that day too - but we don't have fast pass until much later in the day. it's going to be an early morning!!! i just never expected to spend that much time in HS. We are usually only there 1/2 day.

good to know ... we weren't able to get a FP for Slinky Dog for our February trip and while I will continue to try to secure them my plan was to go right to SDD and then see how the wait for MF:SR is, but good to know if it seems crazy high we can come back later (though if not too bad we might then try to ride twice)

And just for reference, MFSR opens every morning with a 60 min wait time, that's just their standard opening procedure. Once the tide actually opens and starts taking guests then the time is adjusted to real time. But every evening you can see how the wait time for falcon just drops dramatically

I was there last Saturday night and my 5 year old and I got in line at 5:59 and were off the Falcon at 6:37. It said it was a 45 minute wait. By 8:30, the posted wait time was down to 25 minutes.

Good to know, we will be at DHS all day. We will plan on hitting Sunset Blvd at RD before SDD and save MFSR for later. Thank you!

So how does the back up BG work? Appears they are at 93 currently so if you have a BG let’s say 107, will you get a notification if they will let you ride?

You should get a notification, but do not rely 100% on getting one. Even if your settings are correct it hasn’t always popped for people.
