Do you need to make a ADR for the rainforest cafe in DTD? I know you do at the one in the AK and I know you have to call the one in DTD directly. DH and I were looking into having dinner there 1 night while in DTD around 7pm. It would be easier on us if we dont have to make an ADR just incase we run late or get hungry earlier.

We ate there in Nov without a res., they told us a 30 min wait and it was about 35. We just browsed around in a few shops, came back and were seated about 10 min after we got there.

We joined the Rainforest Cafe Safari Club one night after being told the wait would be over an hour. Once we signed up for the card and paid (I want to say it was $15?), we were seated almost immediately. The card is good for life, gives you priority seating in the truest sense of the word, and also gets you your choice of a free appetizer or 10% (or is it 15%?) off each meal. Good to know you have this option if the wait is daunting when you arrive!

We went twice last year (we went the first week of April) and I think the longest we waited was about 10 mins. We went during off hours and the food was just as good. We are going back to Orlando in 34 days and we have already made a reservation for our 1st night plus we'll be going again sometime during the week. This was far and away our favorite place to eat! I can almost taste the food now ;)

When I lived in Orlando I used to go there with friends a lot. This was a few years ago, so I apologize if my tip is no longer valid ;)

If you are interested in sitting outside on the water you just need to walk around the side. There is a separate host stand there and the wait is always minimal. It's a really cute, covered seating area. Somewhat romantic. I loved the seating out there. I also liked being away from all of the commotion and (dare I say it) kids.

;) We have the card too, we like the DTD one the best.

The one in the Boston area, is okay-------but it is FL!!!;)

They only have a few spots that are open for reservations and they usually fill up quickly. The best thing is to get the card for immediate seating or just check in early and browse other areas until your time comes up.
