We awoke to our last full day at Disney. I didn't really cry but I bummed all morning. We couldn't decide exactly what to do today but Alex really wanted to go back to DHS to try for Jedi Training. It is Star Wars Weekend after all.

So what does a grandma and favorite Aunt Sheri do? Of course, we make a sign and head to DHS.
He didn't have a Star Wars t-shirt but we did make him a sign. Good ole Austin made it and of course not a picture. The sign said: "The Force is Strong in This One". We have breakfast at CSR and head to DHS. It is right at 10:00. This is where we start on arrival.

Alex was getting so excited. We go left right away so we can check the times for training. The 10:00 had started and they were picking the children out of the crowd. Alex squeezed in but did not get picked. We told him not to worry. We had lots of times left to try. By it being Star Wars weekend they had it every hour.
We then head out and ride Star Wars again. Why? because we are there of course. Alex stops and makes his favorite light saber with Austin's help. I know Sandi said it cost around $21.00. Not too bad considering all the $20.00 I have purchased from those 'other' stores.
We were sort of hungry at that point so we go find food. I don't remember at all where we ate but Don got his hot dog he had been wanting for 7 days.
It is now 10:50 so we head back to 'training'. Sheri took Alex and led him as close as she could but there was still quite a crowd ahead of them. He was about 1/3 the way back. Once again he did not get picked. Disappointed for sure he thought his day was completely over.
We sent Austin to get fp's for RNR. I knew I had to go one more time. We actually just hung around. We did not want to miss the next opportunity.
At 11:30 Sheri took Alex and got front and center. He had his sign and was talking to all the CM's and just waiting. He told them how this was his 3rd time and our last day at Disney. He was very talkative as always.
About 5 minutes till noon the trainer comes out and starts his spiel. There were a lot of kids crowding in and trying to get to the front. Alex is jumping up and down like crazy along with Sheri. He's got the sign swaying and the yelling going on. He was so totally excited.
Trainer man (don't know his name, sorry Austin) starts picking kids. He is down to 2 kids left and he says: You, young man, the one in the gray T-shirt and white hat, here in the front. I was sitting back at the tables at that eating place (don't know the name of that either. I'm worthless) and I hollered so loud. That's Alex. It got everyone's attention for sure. So we head up to the ropes so we can all watch. A lot of people clear out when their children don't get picked.
Trainer man picked another boy after Alex. Now Alex is only 10 but he is very tall for his age. He lacks 1/2 inch to 5 feet. So he gets mistaken for being older quite often. I don't see it cause I still see my baby when I look at his sweet face.
And those of you who know boys, you never know how they will react. He wanted it so bad but we were afraid he might clam up once he was up there.
I don't know why we worried. I will just put up the pictures and let them speak for themselves. Alex kept his white hat on under the hood of the robe.

Getting the goodies after the 'fight'

It is so time for a break after all that excitement.

I can't say enough how much fun that was. Just watching him have such fun and getting to be a part of it.
I am so glad Alex saved us on this day. So when we catch our breath we will move on to more things to do at DHS. I just don't knowhow you top that.
We were very glad he did it and got it done by noon so we could finish everything else we had planned for the day.
Continued.
