Hey everyone, my husband and I are currently in Anaheim for two days, we want to go to Disneyland one day and California Adventure another day. Today is going to be a little bit rainy. We are prepared for the rain with the right clothes, but we want to see both the Paint the Night Parade and World of Color in this trop. I was thinking of going to Disneyland today, but today is the day with the most rain. Does Disneyland cancel parades because of the rain? I just wonder if we should go to California Adventure today instead, because I have heard World of Color does play in the rain. Your advice is appreciated! Thanks so much!

I've read that there is a "Rainy Day" version of Paint the Night, which still has the floats and some characters, but no dancers. It seems like this is the version that they present when the ground is wet, but not actively raining. DisneyGeek has some photos from last Friday (https://disneygeek.com/disneyland/pictures/2016/12/30/77). I don't know if they still cancel the parade if it's raining when the parade is slated to start, but when they first debuted the parade, they did cancel it if it was raining.

WOC will go on rain or shine. It is wind that will cause WOC to cancel.

Depending on how hard it is raining, they may cancel or just run with no street characters as mentioned above if it is a lighter rain. That is what they did over NYE with some of the parades when it was an annoying rain more than a dumping rain.
