@Pea-n-Me Silly Toto! Dogs are so funny sometimes.
@Judique I have a cat with anxiety. She will go to the back of the house to the dining area, while I'm in the front of the house at my computer or watching tv, and Tiana will start doing her panicked "I'm alone!!!" meow, until I 'shout' that I'm here. Then she'll run to where I am, meow a couple of times, then settle down. When we leave for a weeekend, we usually don't have anyone come and check on the cats, so I have to sprinkle some 'calming catnip' mix onto her spot on the cat tower and on her toys in the back of the house. The catnip works to calm her down, but I don't want it out all the time, because I'm worried that it will stop working. MJ gets upset when I'm gone for more than a few hours, but it doesn't panic her or anything; she just gets super lovey when I'm home, and will insist on being beside or on me for hours once I'm home. I could get meds for them, but the vet says it isn't affecting their physical health; they still eat and play and do everything they usually do, so she said it's not necessary.
Yesterday, I channeled my inner
@lynxstch
and got up early to get the front yard mowed and weedwacked. It started sprinkling when I was just about done mowing yesterday, and I ended up weedwacking in the sprinkles; and I'm glad I did it when I did, because right after I finished, the heavens opened up and we had heavy thunderstorms all day long! It was so bad, that for awhile, the street was flooding. Yesterday was trash day, and they were out picking up trash in that mess; they left our trashcans in the gutter, and when cars would go by, they'd create a wake and my cans were floating down the street! I had to go out in the storm, luckily it was just medium rain at that point, not thunder and lightning and sideways rain, to rescue them! Well, the storm saved me from having to rinse them out.

We had hot dogs, mac n cheese, and spinach salad for dinner, because the mowing in the heat and humidity wears me out!
Today, more storms. The ground is so wet, so no mowing today. I'm going to get the whole house swept and mopped, and vacuum the little carpets, and get the bathrooms cleaned, if I can once again channel my inner
@lynxstch .

Watching the J6 hearings this afternoon, and working on some more needlepoint Christmas ornaments while I do so, I think. Dinner tonight is roasted harissa cauliflower and chickpeas, over basmati rice, with some lemony sour cream sauce and feta. DS is going to do the backyard either tomorrow or Thursday, depending on when it dries out; and he's going to spray for weeds on the driveway and in the mulch/rocks too.; but we have to wait for a day of drying out.
The last few days, we've been catching up on some shows we haven't watched, and I'm watching "The Floor Is Lava". It is funny, but I like those kind of shows (Wipeout, Holey Moley, Cannonball...but Holey Moley has the best commentary of all). Oh, and the QOTD: I am currently reading a few books. On my Kindle, I am alternating between 'Crown of Destiny' by Beatrice Small; 'No Stone Unturned' by Steve Jackson; and 'The Girl Beneath The Sea' by Andrew Mayne, depending on my reading mood. I have a Nora Roberts book with three stories in it for bathtub soaking time (one I can put down for a long time, pick up, and know what's going on in the story because it's easy to read); and I have a Stephen King novel (Insomnia) for when I can't sleep and want to curl up in my chair in the living room to read.
OH!!! DD#2 said I could share this! She had a VIP tour yesterday....

She says Kirsten Vangness is the sweetest person. (DD didn't ask for the photo; Ms Vangness offered to take a couple with her at the end of the day.) DD's done tours with several NFL players, a couple of directors, and two or three actors so far; and said this was her best one so far. She's had two 'regular people' tours where she told her boss that she will not take them again, and that they need a male guide for them [one was a Middle Eastern family, where the way the man treated his wife and girl children made her uncomfortable; and the other a Russian (maybe, she wasn't sure, but definitely from that part of the world) where the male spent his entire time on the phone, and disregarded everything she said, but when ever a male coworker at where ever they were said the same thing, he'd listen].
Also, She made VIP trainer this week too, so she gets to train all the new VIP tour guides for
Legoland CA! When she doesn't have a tour, she gets to roam around the park and make people's day, by putting them to the front of the line or buying them an ice cream cone or whatever; it's LL way to 'drum up' more VIP tours.
DGS#4 got his first Covid shot last week, (he's 9 months); and apparently it upgraded his 5G, because the same day, he started standing without help!

He is already over 25 lbs, and eats like a champ. They had to move him off of formula a few montsh ago, due to the shortages; and his pedi said that it was ok to do so, since he's a champion eater. She did prescribe some liquid baby vitamins, to make sure he gets his daily intake of what he needs. He's been off of pureed baby food for 3 months now; yesterday when we were on video chat, he chowed down on some watermelon chunks and some spaghettios, because apparently he was starving and couldn't wait for dinner with the family, lol.
Y'all have a good day!
