Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Maybe it's someone who knows you? Also, have you looked at that person's profile... who else are they following?

Unless the person has a weird sense of humor, a username that is just letters and numbers sounds more like a spambot, but I didn't know they could follow someone. Maybe they accidentally clicked the follow button when reading a post of hers? Breezy Carol..did the person just join as a member today?

Yes, joined today, followed me, and hasn't been back. I looked and the person has not posted or done anything but follow me. Does have a birthday listed, April 21, 1996. I think I'll let it slide as something someone does while not knowing what they are doing. zyf444e668 is the user name.

Just needed to add some mystery.

Maybe it's some weird quirk. I did a search of that name, and it didn't even find any results!

Cleaning and some laundry done, enough to take a break till Mon.
Yesterday the hubs asked me if I could give his hair a trim this weekend--in particular the sides and back. Because, he said, he was trying to avoid that Larry from the Three Stooges style. I laughed and laughed. Funny guy!

I hear you on that one. Hubby has been working from home for almost 6 weeks now, and it's time to give him a haircut! I said something and he says 'well noone but you sees me anyhow these days"? MEN! I mowed the whole lawn, did laundry, did grocery shopping, and I too am taking a break till Monday!

I am an Early December baby so a Sagittarius.

Gratitude today: We got to see younger DS's 3 little ones. We stayed 6 feet away but had fun talking and watching them play. The littlest granddaughter, 14 months, can really give people the evil eye. It was pretty funny! Thankfully she mostly smiles. Older granddaughter loves to show what she can do and the middle child, our grandson, just goes along with whatever his older sister wants. Smart boy!

I didn't like that this thread was the last one on the page--time to post :) I hope everyone has had a nice Saturday. I pray that all you Mom's out there will enjoy a Blessed Mother's Day tomorrow💐 I am extra grateful to God for my Grandma and that her love is still with me now that she is with Him in Heaven. I know she and Grandpa along with Champ are watching over my Dad and I.

I received a call from my dentist's receptionist today cancelling my Monday appointment. It was disappointing but not surprising. She was so kind and we had a nice chat. Praying extra my June appointment is a go :) I am grateful to have such an amazing dentist (and his wife who is also his receptionist) in my life.

I was also so thankful to hear that a friend will be going back to work on Monday after being laid off to the virus and money needing to be saved by her employer.

Last night, because I thought I'd be going to the dentist and thus have to wear pants other than pajama bottoms :D, I tried on my jeans and also dressier trousers I wear to church. I was/am so relieved and thankful (grateful to God of course, too), to have indeed lost a lot of weight. I'd still love to lose about 10 or so more pounds but clear progress was a happy sight to see. One day when this is over, going clothes shopping in general will be extra Blessing but now lol I won't mind (not a shopping fan especially for clothes for myself) the trip at all.

Oh, I almost forgot! Home Depot sent an email saying or two new AC's are due to arrive on Tuesday (which will also be my birthday) I am so excited to think that by the end of next week we could have A/C again.

Wishing all a good evening :)

Beautiful sunny day today but cold. Birdbath was frozen when I got up. There were snow flurries for a minute this after noon. My brother in CT send me pictures of the snow he had there.

My hummingbird keeps coming back to the feeder. I so like to see that little guy.

DH and I went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Big outing. LOL The drive through line was very long so I was glad I had mobile ordered as we left home. That worked really well. They brought the food out to our car in the numbered parking space.

I started working on my 20 pounds of frozen chicken. Defrosted 10 pounds enough to break apart. Had one for dinner last night: refroze some individually; cooked some in the crockpot with broth then shredded to freeze and use in barbecue chicken sandwiches; saved some to make soup on Monday.

Gratitudes.

Took a subway ride to Chelsea to explore a new pop up fishmonger. Normally, the business owner sells only to restaurants but of course that business has disappeared so since his family has owned and operated their wholesale business out of the same locale for a few generations, I felt confident the fish would be worthy. And it is!

Picked up some sea scallops and a whole red snapper. The fish was nicely scaled and gutted, smelt and looked like it had just jumped out of the sea. There was more to entice me but I kept my "gimme gimme" in check. I prefer to buy fish use of day so will wait a bit to go back.

The man was busying pointing out all the changes in the neighborhood which was not one of my hangouts back in the day. He lived there in the early 70s as a typical bachelor: no furniture to speak of but lots of party space and electronics, LOL. We will pay for our 2 days in a row shopping tour by fighting over the massaging foot bath but it was worth every minute.

Garnered my inner sloth that likes to take over after an outside day and threw it to the side; those scallops needed the honor of being cooked immediately. Made a simple dish of them: seared scallops with garlic chives, ginger, and Chinese sausage over rice. Found the recipe over at finecooking.com and made it into a main dish instead of appetizer:

Steamed some bok choy to serve as the menu's green and ginger orange custard for dessert.
Not a long cooking meal and an easy cleanup. Used chop sticks to make the entree linger.

Binge watching "Billions" tonight since I've along way to catch up to the current season. The man is trying to be interested but not sure that he's convinced yet.

To the bolded--same here--Western MD, I think this was the first time I ever mowed the lawn in May, with snow flurries flying around. I wanted it all done yesterday, so I could enjoy Mothers Day!

@Breezy_Carol: Could you please keep the snow in your family? Big temperature drop today but no white stuff to make a complete mockery of Spring;).
I'll try.

I watch the Juneau webcam on PTZTV. Last night at 11 pm it was 36 at my house and 70 in Juneau. The high in Juneau yesterday was 76.

I'm a Leo but I think i was supposed to be a Cancer. LOL That's what everyone tells me anyway, I don't really follow it.

Happy Mother's Day to the mother's on this thread...I hope you all enjoyed your day.

My sister and niece came to visit my parents this weekend. We haven't seen them since February so it was nice to finally get to see them in person. We had our Mother's day dinner Friday night, went swimming yesterday and then breakfast all together this morning before they headed home. I've requested taquitos for dinner from a local mexican place so I can't wait for that....yum.

It's been soo stinking hot here lately, like 90's, but its supposed to be 68* on Tuesday. So weird.

I have a beautiful picture of the sunset from yesterday I wanted to share but it keeps coming up sideways....let's see if I can get it straight.

And as you can see...nope I can't LOL but you can still see the beautiful sky sideways. :lovestruc :lmao:

Sideways or not, that is a beautiful picture AuntieMe3, thanks for sharing :) I am so glad you got to see some of your family. That weather sounds familiar to what it has done here! Except thankfully here the heat has gone away (I pray at least until our new AC's are installed) Prayers you do get cooler relief soon!

Tina, miss you. Prayers you and Matt are travelling safe and having a good trip!
