What are some things you do NOT like about your FAVORITE resort?

RIV should have been the first resort to feature 2 king beds in the 2-bedroom units (along with pull-down twin beds in each master suite to keep capacity at 9).

AUL just needs a friend. "Aulani 2" instead of the gargantuan ugly resorts that are planned for the nearby lots.

OG Poly - don't like how they plopped a huge hospital next door with very few amenities so the original resort is even more crowded.

Not my favorite but SSR - can we get a small table and chairs in the studio? That table that lifts up just doesn't cut it for trying to eat in the room.
Doctor, please send me to the Poly Tower hospital! I have a critical need of a pixie dust transfusion!

But no one on this board is in a position to do anything about making changes at the resorts….so all it does is engage the negative part of brain…. I’m not sure why our society finds the need to constantly look for negativity or things to rage about….
We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't love BCV any less because I recognize it's not perfect because even favorite things can always be made better. As for not being in the position to change things: you never know who might be reading these boards. I doubt they'll bring back gelato at the Marketplace, but someone might decide to reconnect the on/off switch for the outside light. It didn't used to always be stuck on on. What happened once could be again. You never know. Disney certainly listened to guests when they refurbished the Poly longhouses. They used to be very dark, but Disney worked hard to lighten them up. A well-placed gripe made with love can sometimes work wonderful results.

Boy do I agree with this! BCV is my favorite But...I also wish the QS was better. And the coffee cups in the studios not being real china, but cardboard, some having a styrofoam coating irks me. I've taken to bringing a "real" one with me, either one that I'm sick of or a cheap one from Dollar Tree, then leaving it there at the end of my vacation. So if you check in to a BCV studio and have one "real" coffee mug, you're welcome!
I brought one my last trip (was fun to bring a Zebra one to Animal Kingdom Villas), although someone said you can request "real" cups or glasses from mousekeeping. Although then you are most likely paying a Tip for a cup you'll want to wash first lol.

There really isn’t an agree to disagree here. I think that starting a tread specifically looking for people to proactively point to things they don’t like is somewhat toxic.

I’m not going to read the thread because for me this board is supposed to be an escape from real life and not a place to nit pick/tear down things that bring me joy, but it was more of a general statement based on a similar concept on the Aulani board.

If you want puppy dog tails and sugar and spice about Disney all the time, go to the Ask Disney forum they run.

This site is usually good at fostering constructive discussion. There isn't much unhinged ranting going on here frankly, except from people who pop into threads without reading them evidently.

It’s actually pretty helpful for soon to be owners to see some of the potential flaws of the resort. I already knew BWV wasn’t great for QS but it helps reinforce doing a grocery order when we do go.

Constructive discussion would be pros/cons of a home resort.

Love the original VGF, but not a huge fan of all the points that just flooded the system with the new addition. We usually book 2 bedrooms so don't like the added competition.

Truthfully, there isn't anything that I don't like about our home resort AKV. The reasons below which I know others may not agree with and that's ok :)

1) We like that it is "far" from the parks (it really isn't - to us at least). The fact that it is removed gives it more of a peaceful, bucolic feel.
2) The fact that it is bus only is fine with us - if I don't have to drive it's a thumbs up from me.
3) We love the walk between Kidani & Jambo which is no further than the walk from BWV to BCV (I timed it), and we love the stroll between each building - minus the parking lot views ;)
4) We love the food that is offered at each location.
5) The cast members are amazing!
6) It has a freakin; savanna!

We're looking forward to what the the refurbishment will be like - just hoping they don't make it too Marriott-like.
