Cute kitty picture. Kitty needs a nap.

Good morning. It is 44 now with temps going to 50. Rain is coming in for most of the week with heavy rain for Wed and Thurs. We really need more sun. Charlotte's party was nice. The kids had alot of fun. I wish they had let me take care of Sam at the house though. I think I would have felt like I was doing something. It is interesting that they have Jeff's MIL take care of him and MIL and FIL as well as SIL taking care of all 4 when needed. I know I cannot take care of all 4 by myself but I could watch Sam for a couple of hours. I have mentioned it to them but I think Aimee wants her mother to do the babysitting. Oh well, it is what it is and as long as I can get time with them on the weekends I will accept that.

Not looking forward to work this week but need to get going. Have a good day.

Good Monday Morning,:sunny:

Getting to 74 today. Yesterday was really nice too 🌻 Unfortanutely I worked all weekend so I wasn't able to get out and enjoy the sun.😕

Elsbeth reminded us of Columbo.
I thought the same thing when I started seeing the commercials. I don't think it's something that I would enjoy. LIke you said Lynxstch, just a little too much for me.

Not sure if I mentioned this last week or not, there was a female black lab that I've had my eye one all week at one of the shelters. I checked on her Saturday evening and saw that she was adopted at their adoption event earlier that day 😞. I knew it was going to happen once I heard on the news that they were having an adoption event to celebrate their new building. Guess it was my sign that I don't need another dog.

Bought a lottery ticket Friday for the big pot this past weekend. Haven't checked my ticket and I also haven't heard anything about somebody from the area winning, so I don't think I won. I told Boomer to cross his claws that I won so I could be a stay-at-home dog mom 🤞. I was talking to the man who sold me my ticket and we were saying what we would do if we won. He said he would donate a lot of it to the homeless b/c he was homeless at one point. I said that I would buy a bunch of land and go to the shelters and adopt all the dogs. He just laughed and said that was a good idea too.:dog:

Back to work. Have a great day!

Happy Monday, everyone:grouphug:

It's very chilly here this morning. Supposed to rain on Wednesday. Beautiful though new day that I am so grateful to God for. Later this morning, we will begin calling podiatrists. God-willing by this afternoon, I will have an appointment. Figuring out how I will get there in terms of to the car and back up the stairs is at this point almost secondary. Those are also questions for any office I do make an appointment with. Update later :)

Snowysmom, you are such a loving grandma and lady. Your grandkids are indeed so blessed to have you in their family. We all are sure graced by God to know and care about you. Please always take care and stay warm!

Footballmouse, hugs. I'm sorry you had to work all weekend. Thank you always for the kind difference you make to so many, dogs included. God Bless you indeed. I would enjoy helping you in some smalm way with your dog sanctuary :)

Bobbiwoz, so many prayers for Tom, always you as well, my friend, you know that. Enjoy some sunshine for me, too.

I will check back later🐣💕

Good morning. It's going to be a sunny 70+ degree day, tomorrow too, but chance of showers.
This hasn't been my week. Between the cable, the storms, the power outages, my phone, and now electrical.
I went to turn on the treadmill to walk before dinner, and nothing happened. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, reset it, nothing. Then I noticed that the nightlight in that corner wasn't lit, and I looked at the humidifier on the cabinet on the other wall, and that was off too. I went in the kitchen and tried the over the stove vent and fan, and those were off (For some odd reason those are on the circuit with the dining room. I went down and checked the circuit breaker and it was on. I switched it off, and back on, and it clicked like it's supposed to.

I called Dave again, since he was coming today and asked him about it. He had replaced an outlet in there a couple of years ago that had gone bad and made a bad connection to the other outlets. He said it could be one of the 5 outlets, or a bad circuit breaker. While I was talking to him, I kept hearing a beep. I finally noticed that every now and then the humidifier light would come on, beep and then go off, and the nightlight was lit, but very dimly. Then it would go out. I'm hoping it's something simple like an outlet, I may have him change all 5 of them and the circuit breaker, just to be on the safe side. I turned the breaker off for the night just to keep anything from happening. I don't need a fire.
I had images of a $$$ electrician tearing up walls to get at wiring in my head a lot of the evening. I am praying it's nothing like that. A few bad outlets are the only electrical issues we've ever had, so knock on wood it's just something like that
If it doesn't take him hours to fix it, we'll go to Lowes and get the shelf brackets and get the shelves up, but having the electric fixed is more important right now.

Have a good day.

He checked every outlet, one had the ground off, but putting it back on didn't give power back. He changed all but the one he changed a year ago. Went down and checked the breaker and it's good. We traced the wires all across the cellar to the box, and it said it was the dining room wire. He took off the newest outlet again, and noticed that the wire on the side was corroded. he cleaned it and put another new outlet in, and viola..elec again. Went to Lowes and we got the brackets, and he put up 4 live edge shelves. It makes the computer room look so much bigger with the book cases gone.
Then he fixed the lock on the front door. For some reason the strike plate needed 1/8" taken off of it. And now that works. He wouldn't let me pay him, so I'm going to get a $100 Sheetz gift card and mail it to him. He was here for almost 5 hours.
He's also pricing out a new shed for me and going to knock down the old wood shed. I want something without openings in it so I don't have to put plastic on them to keep the outside cats and everything in there dry in bad and windy weather.

I won't be using the treadmill today. I must have gone up and down the cellar stairs 100x and my back is sore.

But everything is in working order again!

Its sunny and 72 degrees

Good evening hugs to all of dear you and of course prayers you had a good Monday. Dad has an appointment with Dr. S, the podiatrist recommended by my dentist, Dr. E, a week from Thursday. We are hoping a neighborhood friend can stay with me while he is gone. As for me, that is still ongoing. I did discover via Google, Dr. B, a podiatrist with good reviews very nearby who would charge $300 less than Dr. S would charge for me to see him. Dad is covered. The remaining challenge is still how to get me down the stairs and then back up them. So far, I learned my current insurance once again is useless to me in this respect. I would need a doctor's referral (doctor who I am not able to contact, remember Friday). Then the referral would need to be approved and the podiatrist someone in network. I also found out, more than likely, the transportation would have only been curb to curb anyway. Dad and I can do that ourselves for free. What I need is stair help. The only company I have found who would meet my needs would charge MORE than Dr. S would to see me!:scared1:Tomorrow we will be calling back social services at our local city hall (they transferred me wrongly this afternoon), the fire department to ask for any recommendations they might have, and anywhere else we can come up with. We stay positive and keep trying. I am absolutely determined, God-willing, to be able to keep my dentist appointment on April 4th and be able to go to Disneyland in May for my birthday, Thank you all always for your prayers and love. Have sweet dreams! :)

@flyingdumbo127 I truly hope you can get to the podiatrist safely. Social services is a good idea as they may have some good ideas and assistance for you.

Lynn I am glad Dave was able to help you. He is such a good person and so helpful. I am sure he will appreciate the gift card.

Thinking of Pea-n-me. Hope all is well.

Good morning. It is 37 here and rainy. The outlook for the next 10 days includes lots of rainy days. I think only a couple of days are predicted to be rain free. So dreary and stressful. Yesterday I was able to take a walk at a lake a couple of towns over. There are swans in the lake and they occasionally go bottoms up to get some fish. It is funny to see. The path was damp but not mucky which was nice. I did get some trail shoes which makes walking on the dirt paths easier. I had my weekly meeting with my boss. Nothing new to do which was great. She asked me if I was happy with what I am currently doing or do I want to give some tasks to the new person they are going to hire and I will get new ones. I told her I felt that what I am currently doing is the best role for me in the group. She agreed so that is where it stands. The new job is a level above mine but I have no interest in it. I just want to work out my time in a job I am familiar with. I have enough going on in my life that is stressful and anxiety provoking. I do not need to learn a new job which would be challenging for sure. And I do not think they see me in that job anyway, nor do I. They do have one person in mind who is already in the company. I hope she is interested as I do work with her a bit now and she is a nice person, gets the answers I need, and is always happy to help.

Have a good day.

Good morning all :goodvibes

Fingers crossed the social worker comes through for you, @flyingdumbo127!

I have a new class today - on a little heavier subject: the middle east. I hope it will help me understand what's going on a little better.

Then I have a quick appointment after that, and we have dinner at the Lodge tonight, so I'm off the hook for cooking.

I think it's supposed to be rainy. 🌧️☔🌧️☔🌧️

Big thank you hugs Snowysmom and PollyannaMom. I will update later and appreciate both of dear you always.

Snowysmom, you are wise, so very courageous, and you know I wish you forever all around peace and joy.

PollyannaMom, same to you, of course you know that. Enjoy your dinner tonight :)

Extra prayers indeed to Pea. Also it has been quite a while since AuntieMe3, Frog, and Kirby have posted. Prayers they are all doing well, too.

Love to all. I will check back latet.

Good Morning!🌻

Might get some rain today but yesterday was sooooo nice. Lynxstch I think we had the same weather :sunny:. Glad you were able to get your electical issue figured out. Five hours is a long time to be at someone's house and not accept payment for it. The gift card is a great idea.👍

Went to the grocery store last night. I had some coupons for Meijer so I just went there this time instead of Kroger. Tonight I'm staying home with the dogs. I hope it doesn't rain so that we can go outside to play 🥏. I need to get things straightened up in the house and I totally forgot to get my Easter stuff out last week. Won't be out for very long but I at least want to get my bunny sign on the door 🐰. I used to keep a basket of decorative eggs on the coffee table but the cats like to sit on the table and scoop them out of the basket and play with them. I find eggs all year hiding behind things.😒

Evan got the new shocks for my car that he'll be putting on for me. I hope this is the issue because I really think it's my rear brakes. We'll see.🤞

Tried to watch NCIS last night but I was tired and fell asleep by 9:15 🥱. I used my c-pap machine last night and really notice a difference already this morning. It's always hit or miss for me with that machine, some times it keeps me up b/c of the noise and other times it works perfect, like last night.😴

Guess I should get some work started, have a great day!

Very rainy in Cape May.

@Snowysmom, it’s good that you have a position that you are comfortable with, and it’s acceptable to your boss that you keep it!

@flyingdumbo127, what a journey you are on! I hope the social worker can help you.

@footballmouse, the rain is pretty widespread, but I hope you get outside playtime!

We will be going up to Sam’s today, then doing house things. Tomorrow I have an outing with some friends. Yesterday’s PT went quite well.

Good morning. Another 70+ day in store. I love this weather, could stay just like this all year for me.
I'm not as stiff and sore as I thought I would be, but it took me a long time to get comfortable to sleep last night. I watched Bachelor and wasn't happy that my favorite girl got sent home. They're down to the final 3 now

Summer came last night and took the 2 bookcases I got rid of in here, and my sister in law is going to take the other one. It's in the shed, I just have to dust each of the shelves and stand them all back up again. That thing is heavy!

Off to make a grocery list and take all the trash down to the street. That's all the energy I have left this morning. Maybe this afternoon I can work on Spring cleaning. I have 2 rooms done, only 4 more and 2 bathrooms to go, lol

Have a good day everyone
