Question of the day: 5/15: What is your favorite photo, and why do you love it? (thanks
@PollyannaMom
I love pictures and in process of having several made into big pictures for decoration in the house. We have taken fun and gorgeous pictures around the world so I thought why should I be paying for ones from Kirklands that others have when I can have my own for the wall for close to the same cost. I have lots of family pictures and trunk from WW2 that belonged to my grandfather of pictures from my family generations ago. I have three favorites: our first disney picture during Matt's R&R from his 1st deployment during our first year of marriage, his grandparents 60th anniversary picture, and my grandparents wedding day picture with him in his Army uniform and she with a pretty flower in her hair. Priceless to me. What about you and your pictures?
((huggles))
How do you pick just one favorite photo? Man. Ok..
I have one of DH and DS when we took our first trip to DL, where DS discovered that Woody and Buzz were real, after all. One of DD#2 in her wedding dress, as DH is giving her away to SoIL#2.. The one of DD#1 where she is cuddled up in my lap, during a photo shoot (and I was a few months pregnant with DD#2 in the photo). Don't judge the hair, it was the early 90s, I was having very bad morning sickness, and it was all I could do to get up and get dressed that morning.
I have one of GS#2 and GS#3, when they were both just about 2 years old, when we were able to get together; it's in black and white, and they are just sitting together on a blanket at the park, laughing. GS#1 in his Tiger Cub Scout uniform. I have my parents senior photos.
Now that I'm all weepy from looking through my photos... (but good weepy)
I'll put a couple up. I won't put any of the DGSs (per DD#1 request for her two).
Dinner tonight is breaded pork chops and roasted sweet potatoes/potato/brussel sprouts; and mixed veggies for DS (since he is picky nowadays). I bought ice cream (I know, I just got an ice cream maker, and here I am buying the stuff.....but in my defense, it was Tillamook ice cream and it was BOGO at Publix. Vanilla bean and Coffee Almond Fudge), so we'll have that for dessert.
I got a couple of dark chocolate bars for us to try (those specialty type chocolates; this one claims no dairy or sugar added, 80% dark, cocoa nibs in one and almonds in the other). Too dark and bitter for just eating, I think, so maybe tomorrow I'll chop 'em up and make some chocolate chunk cookies.
