We purchased the DP (regular) for our upcoming trip for me, dh, and a child. When the CM "removes" credits from your magic band based upon what you order, do we get a certain number of adult credits and child credits or is it just a pool of credits per night?

I know that on the DxDDP, all are pooled since they are TS, but wasn't sure about QS credits, adult vs child.

They are just pooled together.

And it is pooled together for your entire trip. A family of 4 staying for 5 nights will start out with 20 QS credits. You can use them whenever or however you want from that point on.

and deluxe credits are not TS. They a separate category and are for either TS or QS.

QS credits are all the same. They are not split by adult/child credits.

Only TS credits on the regular plan are designated adult/child.

Thank you- we are a family of 3 for 3 nights so we

Thank you- this is exactly the information I needed.

With the regular dining plan:

QS is NOT categorized by adult /child and can be used as all adult or however you choose no matter the age when booking.

TS IS categorized by adult/child meaning of you pay for a child regular dining plan, they could technically order off adult menu at a QS place but have to order off the kids menu for TS locations

Exactly, my son is a big eater and while he is 10 now, he has ordered adult meals at QS for the last few years.

Wow, I would never have known this so thanks for asking! This works out well then, we have the regular dining plan for our trip which is myself, husband, DD5 and DS2 so we obviously have no credits for my son but good to know we can use my daughter's QS credits to order an adult meal and let the 2 kids split it and not have to buy OOP for our son.

Good to know this still works like this! My son will be 7 and extremely picky eater. I planned on sharing my lunch cs credit with him. Use the extra counter service for the big breakfast platter at resort to share. Will bring instant oatmeal and fruit to resort food court and share the platter. Did this in 2015 and worked great!
