We stopped on the deck outside Meridian after our Palo dinner one night and it was absolutely beautiful and quiet. They had some nice, soft music playing and we had the place to ourselves. Perhaps the bar could arrange to have some champagne ready around sunset? I definitely would call DCL and see if they can give you some options to help out and take some of the stress off of you!

If you think she'd like something public, it might be fun if DCL would revise the announcement where they usually say "Disney Fantasy welcomes the XYZ family" to say "Disney Fantasy welcomes xxx (girl's name), and yyy (boy's name) who wants to marry you!"

If you don't want to be nervous the entire cruise, as you enter the ship they announce your family name right as you're boarding. Hand the person who announces to introduce you as the " xxxx (her name) Will you marry me" family. Go down on the knee while they are announcing.

I love this idea. I vote for this.

DON'T wait!! If you REALLY want to shock & surprise her... her do it a few days before the trip. Do it on a random day. Have it in your suitcase and ask her to help you pack for the cruise. FYI, When I got engaged I couldn't wait to tell and show EVERYONE! With the bad Wi-fi & no phones from the ship (unless you want to spend a ton of money) You'll be more relaxed & enjoy your vacation together as the future Mr & Mrs. You won't be nervous (she'll know something is up if you are nervous) or going through the TSA (I know someone who got busted going through the screening and proposed right there on the spot!) .....she will NEVER expect it! She can show and tell EVERYONE. And most importantly.....make sure you call your insurance company and get the ring insured!

Heck, see if your flight attendants will help you out if you're flying. Propose to her on the plane so she can say that she became a member of the Mile High Club. People don't have to know what it took to join.

We have handed a slip of paper to the CM at the door upon boarding with many different crazy "words/phrases."

If said paper was about a proposal, DCL would help, facilitate, eat it up, do everything they could to make it magical.

If someone wants to do this upon boarding at PC, speak to someone in charge prior to boarding and they will help make it more magical. IMO

That custom verbal request seemed reasonable during boarding, IMO, especially given it is/was a proposal.
DCL would love to facilitate that plan.

Many other requests have been more complex than a proposal in the past.

Have you watched lately? This is my current excursion as I board.
Watch and listen to the crazy requests upon boarding. Then listen to the actual announcements.

We requested a more complicated phrase, albeit no delay with a knee and ring and such.
But still a spectable for those watching and listening.

DCL thrives on making wishes happen.
Especially when it's a simple announcement upon boarding. IMO

February, 2015, so it's been that way for over a year. We were very disappointed.
