Products you've loved and lost

This hair perfume/refresher-type stuff...I think L'Oreal made it. It was meant to be used if your hair needed a fragrance pick me up (like due to smoke or whatever) & came in 2 different scents; I used the one in the blue bottle all the time just because I liked the scent. I still have some left, but once that's gone, it's gone forever.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this!!! I honestly thought I was the only one to ever buy it, because no one ever knew what I was talking about.

I also miss the McDonald's Arch Deluxe - I posted a thread about it a little while back, with little response...so maybe not too many others miss this. I sure do, though!

I loved the Arch Deluxe! We were poor high school students and this made us feel fancy.:) A friend copied the logo in my senior yearbook! I feel nostalgic when I've thumbed through and seen it.

Bottle Caps candy. I know they can be found in various places on the internet but I want to be able to walk into a store and easily find rolls of them at the checkouts with the likes of Spree, Sweet Tarts, Necco Wafers, etc...

I also miss both Planters Cheez Balls and Curls. I have tried all kinds of similar products and absolutely nothing is comparable.

Well, then, you simply must make a visit to lovely Western Maryland, to Oakland, Maryland or perhaps to the thriving metropolis of Grantsville to visit one of the fabled "Candyland"* locations. The one in Oakland is half of the Farmer's Market, so you can get some fresh produce to off-set all that sugar. None of their locations seem to have an Internet presence and if you're looking for the Oakland address, look it up under "Farmer's Market". The one in Grantsville is under the name of "Hill Top Fruit Market".

agnes!
* - Man, these places aren't fancy, but they sure do have CANDY, including lots of your favorites from yesteryear.

Levi's Relaxed Fit Jeans that are 100% cotton. Now they have spandex in them, and I don't like it at all.. :(

I loved Outrageous shampoo and conditioner by Revlon! Had the best smell ever!!

Also miss OM perfume by the GAP. It was a very smooth perfume, very subtle but I got soooo many compliments!

Victoria's Secret #55 parfume!!!!

I bought it about 6 or 7 years ago. It was on sale for $15 a bottle!!!!

I should have bought every bottle they had, because now on Ebay, it goes for anywhere from $150 to well over $200 for the same bottle!!!!

Häagen-Dazs Sticky Toffee Pudding Ice Cream. DS and I loved this stuff

Just home from the store straight out of the carton. Did you see the FoodTv show we they had the contest & this flavor won.

HA! I am going to add NORMAL JEANS that are not low rise.

I am trying to find jeans for my picky 13yodd and nothing is out there for her that is not low rise.

I looked at the recommended stores on our previous threads and no luck.

Plus, I would like a couple in my wardrobe. I was cutting my rose bushes yesterday and well, lowrise pants do not lend themselves well to yardwork.:lmao:

I did. That's why I tried it. DS isn't an ice cream eater at all but he tried this and loved it. We were at the store this morning and he looked again and make it comment about not being able to find his Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Yes to both of these! I had forgotten all about Outrageous shampoo, but I can totally see the bottle now in my head now!

I used to wear Om CONSTANTLY. My mom stocked up on it at the Gap outlet store in Orlando and boy, did I score at Christmas that year! I still have a bunch of stuff around but I'm almost afraid to use it because I don't want to run out. :sad2: FWIW, it is one of the easier ones to find on ebay if you decide you want to have some again. I was all excited recently because I actually saw bottles of Day on ebay, but they were quite expensive. Om usually stays pretty reasonable, from what I've seen.

I loved that, too! Another is Samy shampoo and conditioner. Its still available but they "improved" the formula and now it smells different (:sad2:). Why can't they leave stuff alone?!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this!!! I honestly thought I was the only one to ever buy it, because no one ever knew what I was talking about.

What about the Mc DLT? Keep the hot side hot & the cold side cold...
:)

Albuterol inhalers for asthma - they discontinued their original inhaler because its propellant was not good for the ozone layer???? Well, the new device does not work nearly as well. Darn those asthmatics for ruining the ozone layer .

Indeed! I agree 600 million percent. When they began phasing them out, my CVS switched over to Pro-Air. Garbage, garbage, garbage. They clogged. And they sucked. They didn't work.

Then for some reason, I switched my RX over to Wal-Mart - I think I was too lazy to make 2 stops, as it was New Years Eve - and since it was ProAir at CVS, it was to be ProAir at Wal Mart - BUT I spotted this woman in front of me, buying an OLD one!! I STOCKED UP, paying out of pocket!! Well, here - I even posted about it:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=29399827&postcount=1

Both myself, and my 2 boys use it. I JUST ran out of the last good one, last month. :guilty:

We kept them in the hall closet - and all of us referred to it as The Good One.

"Mom, my asthma is acting up - where is the good one?"

NOW - let me tell you this, though. that Pro Air and the Proventil, stink - BUT ask for the Ventolin Inhaler. It does honestly work *okay*. Not AS good, but better than the other 2.

Man those old inhalers. :sad2:

For the makeup, make sure you check out ebay.

Yes.

It is where I get my Dove Pro Age Facial wash. Love that face wash.

A color of L'Oreal nail polish that I believe was called Venus Pink...it was out many years ago and was the absolute perfect watermelon-y pink with gold undertones. GORGEOUS. I've been looking for a duplicate for years and have never found one.

venuspink2.jpg

Wait!! I *KNOW* OPI has a color like that. I know they do. I know I have it, too.

I'm looking through my stuff when I get home. Maybe it's not OPI (I think it's OPI) It's not Loreal, though (I actually never cared for Loreal polishes. i found they got thick, too quick).... I know I have a color just JUST like that. When I find it - I will send it to you, if you want. I'm a makeup/nailpolish/product hoarder. :lmao:

Häagen-Dazs Sticky Toffee Pudding Ice Cream. DS and I loved this stuff

I saw a Food Network channel special on this flavor. It was a contest. I was pulling for the Cannolli girl - but the Sticky Toffee girl, won!
