PRICES UP !!! °o° °o° 9/28/09 Booking Information Thread for 2011 Cruises °o° °o°

I'm so sorry. Lack of sleep last night & stress of booking this morning had me not looking far enough down to see what I actually owed. I thought $1,200 was an additional amount.

I'm a h.s. teacher so I'm checking in between classes.

I am such a dork! I am sorry.

Good luck to everyone still trying. :wizard:

We're booked.:cool1::cool1:

On hold approximately 25 minutes and then helped by a very nice CM named Elaine.

Able to transfer our OB booking no problem, cabin/main dining and all to August 23/11.

CAT9A 2A , 2C 15/16 - $5140.52 with taxes & fees - no transfers/insurance.

Just for comparison, we did almost the exact cruise with RCI in August this year. One different port. Price difference is only about $145 total more from our original RCI quote this year. Not bad concerning it's DCL and two years time difference.

<<<<<<<=vpalmer;33745981]We just booked and here are the details:

Cat 7a
#7620 (Secret Verandah cabin)
2A, 1K (8)

$6,293.89

Also, we still appear to be on tier one pricing. I also priced a 5c for 2A, 1K and the pricing was the same as last week per the pricing thread.>>>>>

Which cruise? :)

Here are some prices from this morning starting aroung 7:40am:

PC repo cruise 1/6/11, 09C, 2A/2K 4&6, $8856.81 (2669, 1399), no trans/ins

WOW!!! We were on the May 2008 WB repo and we paid $6200 (2A/2K no trans/ins) for a 9A or B cabin. Of course we booked on the first day the rates were released, at 8am EST sharp! I'm just amazed at how much more the same cruise is!

IF YOU HAVE A 50% DEPOSIT ON YOUR CURRENT OBB YOU KEEP THAT OFFER FOR 2011 CRUISES!!!!!
Huh????!!!!

My online ressie shows I owe $1,200 more in deposit even though I transferred my 50% off OBB 2010 7 day to an Alaskan 7 day. I modified this online myself.

What am I missing?

Did this happen only if you went through a TA or actually got through on the phone?

Please advise what I can do. Thank you! :flower3:

Which cruise did you have booked before & how many people?

If this cruise wasn't going to be for my DH's and my 10th wedding anniversary occuring during a July sailing, we would have most certainly waited till August and saved the money because kids in Minnesota don't go back to school till September.

My big not going to say LOL birthday is in July but I don't mind waiting a few weeks to save $$$$ . Just a thought for you to think about. Even if you Ann. is not on the date you go DCL will still treat everything the same as if it was.:)

Cat 9a 1A, 1K 8 - 4327.26 with tax and insurance no transfer
Cat 9a 1A, 2K 5 and 5 - 5640.89 with tax and insurance no transfer

I priced category 5C cabins on the same deck 6 with verandahs and it was $1500 more per cabin.

$600 deposit per person due 10/1. That deposit number blows me away. Our deposit on the 2008 MR cruises was so much less. Is Alaska worth such a high deposit?

Doesn't matter - we are still going! :)

This is for the 6/28 Alaska. And I was told a 26 minute wait on the 800-449-3380 and it was about 20 minutes.

Oh good, glad to hear things are progressing. I had some issues with my Castaway Club number in the past matching with my name, which I've fixed with DCL, but you have to enter my name just so with my maiden and married name to get it to work. Though I tried to explain it in my request, I was worried the delay was due to issues with that, so at least now I know it's just part of the first day crunch!

8/15 WB Caribbean Very jealous wanted to go back on PC, too $$$ for me

8/15 WCaribbean C10 2A 1997.38 no trans/insur
8/15 WCaribbean C10 2A2K 5,7 3240.85 no trans/insur
8/15 WCaribbean C10 1A 1,565.69 no trans/insur

1 hour on hold from 8am to slightly after 9. 1 hour to work 7 reservations

??? I do not have a cruise in the Caribbean in 2011 for 8/15. Is this for 2010? :confused3

August is cheaper because it gets colder and rainier the farther you get into the month. May is cold, June is dry (but buggy!) as is July. With Alaska, I doubt school schedules have anything to do with the pricing. If you look at other cruise lines, you can see what the various "seasons" are in Alaska.

The CM I spoke to told me that the rates are pretty much steady from the cruise we have a hold on (6/28) through July & early August, then start dropping with the 8/9 cruise and 8/30 is the cheapest, I guess because of weather and school schedules.

On hold with Costco for 4 hours, but got the exact room I wanted:

Eastern Caribbean 10/1/2011

11B (sideways cabin) 2A/2K 7,11 $3190.76 + $126 (ins) (no trans)

Westbound transatlantic (fall 2011)

Total DVC points for 2 adults:
5a 770
5b 742
5c 722
6a 688

There are not many cabins left in these cats. at the moment. Unless they are saving some for gty? The only midship is deck 7 and there is no forward. Just for cat 5 and 6 to be clear.

Also if you are getting the re-booking discount they take off 21 points per person. Same as 2010.

 WHEW!! I got it now! I SEE IT, I SEE IT!!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :worship:

August 10 Med - 10 nights

Cat 10A - SPH # 5020 (which is weird 'cuz that was one that I DID NOT SEE as available when I was looking!):confused3 But YAY!

2 A, 1 C (14) ($4,678 + $1,249 = $5,927) BEFORE 10% OB discount
No ins or xfers; tax $187.98
Total after 10% = $5,522.28

:yay::cool1: Thank you DU!!!

OH I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Ha. I've possibly changed my mind already about our Alaska cruise. Currently, we have 2A2K in a 5C. Just for grins, I priced 1A1K in a 5C/11B combo and it was about $200 less than the 4 of us in a 5C. Who would have thought? So, I'm on hold now to see if I can find a 5C and 11B across the hall from each other and make that change. The 800# was busy, so I called the 888# and have about a 30 minute wait.

Ok, so for us:

I first have on hold July 26- 2 Cat 11 rooms for $6094 ( that is without insu. or trans.) each room with 1 adult and 1 child but you know that I am really paying for 2 adults.LOL

So then I tired just a 2 weeks later Aug 9th and could get the same 2 Cat 11 rooms total of $4738 :banana: same booking as I said above with 1 adult and 1 child.

Is it just cheaper being the one week out and being in Aug.? or did the rates go up in July??? I did this about an hour ago. ( 9:30am central time)

What do you all think???

At 8 am today all July & first week of august were the same price, 2nd & 3rd weeks of august were same & lower.

Me either, I'm with DU too but I'm sure they're working on it and have a lot of requests today!!!

On the Podcast last week they announced that we may not see our DU reservations until tonight. All agents began working this morning and are completing everyone's reservations up front and then late this afternoon they will start sending out the quotes.

My ressie I had DU change to the Alaskan is up on their site. The new one I have is no where to be found. Prob because I don't know the DU ressie #.
