Hi everyone!

First post on here but have been reading a lot. Everyone is so knowledgeable! I have been to DL about 4 times but this will be my first visit to WDW. Its just my husband and I for our honeymoon (married in August going to WDW in February). We have been crunching numbers for the RO deal and PSD, but have decided PSD isn't really worth it. We won't eat that much food or spend the money that is the difference between the two plans.

We are currently booked at POP in a standard room and its around 1600ish for 6 day park hopper and room. I noticed that CBR is around 2100 for a king bed room and same tickets. We requested a king bed at POP but no there is no guarantee.

So our big question is... is it worth it to switch? Its a difference of 500 dollars. We won't be in the room all that much as we will be in the parks a lot. But we hate the idea of a double bed...

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the Dis :).

We've never stayed at Pop, but we loved everything about CBR. If the extra cost is doable, I'd switch. CBR has beautiful grounds, nice pools (each "village" has its own quiet pool), the food court is nice, and we found the bus transportation to be great. Also, the surroundings are peaceful (IMO) and it's very relaxing to walk around. With that said, I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose, but my choice would be CBR. Have a great trip :wizard:.

This will be my second time staying at POP. I personally love POP. I would say that, around the time you are going, it shouldn't be high crowds so your chance of getting a King bed may be higher than most times of the year. I thought the double beds were very comfortable, especially since we were in the parks all day and were exhausted by the time we got back.

If you plan on spending time at the resort, CBR may be worth it for the bigger rooms and views. But it might also be nice to put the extra money into something else for your honeymoon: like a romantic dinner or a couple's massage at the Grand Floridian! :)

Hi,
If this is for your honeymoon I would suggest you go with the upgrade to the moderate where you can get that king bed. Pop is a great value, but to celebrate your union you really should splurge (if you can) on the mods. Also don't limit yourself to CBR unless beachy is your thing.
Also... CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL WISHES!

We haven't stayed at POP, but we really enjoyed our stay at CBR. For your Honeymoon, it is a fantastic resort to stay at. The grounds are very nice, we found the transportation excellent, and if the weather is nice, the pool bar is a nice place to have a drink in the evening.
