I did online check in at day 60, too & I'm still hoping for info on the DP and a welcome of some sort... Do the CMs not do that if you choose to check in online? :(

They sure do!:thumbsup2 They will explain everything and answer any question you may have.

Your CM at the online check-in counter will help you with whatever you need. The online check-in is mostly about getting all your information ready ahead of time, and allowing you to use the separate line, which can be advantageous when the regular line is long. Twice now I've also had room assignments redone by the CM even after using online check-in, so you can get whatever service you need.

:goodvibes Sorry, I didn't mean for my post to imply that they don't welcome you or answer questions. This is our first time our trip is "ours", we've always went with family, so first time we are the "checkin" people instead of the standing there people :lmao: After reading about online checkin, I decided it wasn't for us this time. Our room requests are really important to us, so I know I will try and have our rooms redone if they are not what we requested. So I don't want to hold up the line for those trying to grab and go. Also, since it's our "first" I kind of want to just do the full experience etc. as I don't know what kind of questions I'm going to have. I know our way around Pop, but we've never charged to the room, dining plan etc. So I need a little more hand holding I think :rotfl::hug:

Best way to have your requests met. 1) submit them about 5 days out. 2) When you do online check in don't select the option that a ready room is a priority. 3) take a look at the resort map on here and make sure you don't have conflicting requests. For example, don't request the 80s or 90s and a lake view. They don't exist. And don't request a pool view in the 60s if you have booked a standard pool view.

Don't forget that the rooms are first come, first served. If someone gets there before you then you may not get your exact requests. Every time I've stayed at Pop I've always been in the 70's. No big deal to me, but I just want a clean and comfortable room.

I'm almost at 45 days! Just wanted to post that to see my excitement in print! lol

I'm not counting today :rotfl2: 21 Sep we check in....

Did we every settle on a quick meet for all of us Dis'ers who will be there that week? I know someone mentioned it :confused3

We're going back to Pop! I switched us from ASMu to Pop for our quick three day trip. DD18 is thrilled because she loved Pop so much, and was actually disappointed when we upgraded to POFQ last trip to get the queen beds.

We are here now and loving it. Magic bands are working great. Didn't have a fridge but got one when requesting it. In 60s facing lake and its nice and quiet. Mouskeeeping is great. Not a fan of new RF mugs nor of the confusion with what's included in dining plan but overall great time for us

That sounds fun! We are checking in on the 22nd. Me, DH, and DS(almost 3)

We are going to be at POP Century in 16 days! :cheer2:
I would like to request a room close to a playground, but from what I understand, there are 2. I think I have seen pictures of both, and one of them looks like more fun for an almost 3 year old who loves to climb. But I don't know which one is which.
What building or section should I request to be closest to the best playground?

I only recall there being one playground. That one is closest to building 10. It is in between building 10 and the main building with the food court. Just steps away from the buses.

Edited to add:

From page 1 post #3
"Theres a playground in the 70s era behind Building #10 on the Classic Hall side"

now that todays just about over I arrive at Pop in 17 days on the 24th and once I drop some stuff off in my room its off to MK and MNSSHP

Here, now. Got the 70s section, decorated our window. Rapid refill is, indeed in effect minus the hot chocolate, hot water and coffee.

Love this resort! If only it weren't raining at the mo. Would love to spend a part of my evening over at Petals. :-)

Just did my kids "educational" forms to hand in on monday for the Principals approval. I'm not worried about it because I've already talked to both of them. They are married to each other, convenient lol. So anyway, I went online to find all kinds of things to put on the form. I just typed it up in word and printed out 2 copies and said "see attached" on the form. We're not going until the end of next month but this is just one more thing I can mark DONE on my list :)

I'm curious. Do you need approval to take your kids out of school? We are coming from Canada in 2 weeks but do not have any restrictions when taking the kids out of school.
