Here I thought I had a long wait! We're at 192 today!

I meant to post this earlier but was side tracked by life. The family and I were at Pop July 17-24. On our first day, we went to Target and bought a half gallon of milk for $2.39. Later, I needed to buy more milk and bought a half gallon at the food court for $2.99. I thought that a 60 cent difference was incredible. I was expecting it to be more.

The fridge in our room was not working and we had to request a medical fridge. DS is 13 months and drinks a lot of milk (and doesn't eat as well as I would like). This was considered "medically necessary". The new fridge didn't look like it would hold a gallon of milk, hence why I didn't buy a gallon to begin with.

Can I buy ponchos and a pen for autographs at the POP gift shop? Those are the only two things I haven't bought yet.

Also, DD wants a baby Simba, but we're not going to AK. Has anybody seen these at POP or a shop on MK or Epcot?

Yes! I saw them in the parks and our resort gift shop last year (ASMo). I know, because I had to sneak around to buy one for DD14...it was a surprise, and we were traveling alone. Not easy to do!

3 months from tomorrow and I'll be checking in to the Pop....whoohoo!!!! Is it to soon to get the bags out? LOL It's been a crazy year with my moms illness and having to go into a nursing home (what a money scam that is) : )
I so need this trip. Solo trip and being able to do,whatever I want, when I want.

Yes, ponchos and pens are for sale in the Pop gift shop -- and just about any other shop on property. Ponchos are frequently held behind the counter, so if you don't see them, ask. With respect to pens, if you have Sharpies at home, just bring a few of those -- especially the retractable kind. They are best for autographs. The fancy pants pens sold in the gift shops are pretty, but a lot of the characters have trouble holding onto them.

You can, but ponchos are MUCH cheaper at Wal-Mart or somewhere else besides Disney.

Sorry about your year. I love solo time in the parks, I've never done a solo trip but hubby loves to play golf and he doesn't ride the rollercoasters so we do our own thing and meet up later in the day.

Can anyone give me an estimate for cab fare from Pop to Chef Mickey's? We are going to try for a 7-7:30 ADR and don't want to have to rely on the bus.

Also, how do we go about arranging a cab? Do we ask someone at the desk to call one for us? Do we do it the night before, or in the morning? Sorry for all the questions. We are 3 adults who have literally never used a cab before.
