:woohoo:

I've been to POP twice. Got the 50s the first time, then requested it the 2nd time. I like it for the theme, the pool is nice and big, and the 50s music is nice. I decided to request it again for my trip in Sept. It will be my GF's first time ever at WDW!

We'll probably take a walk over to AoA and grab a bite there, too.

It looks like, on the map, that there is a smoking area right where you would walk from 50s to the main hall. Is this an issue? I wouldn't want to have to walk past smoke every time.

I walked past that DSA every morning in February of last year going from building 3 to Classic Hall. I have asthma and cigarette smoke really bothers it, but I never had any issues walking past there. It's set back a bit from the pathway and has bushes/trees around it. I don't think you will have an issue.

Hey all, love the info!

We are staying at Pop preffered room in November. The only thing I have to compare it to is AoA. We were in LM rooms earlier this year...that walk from the busses to LM rooms and the dining hall seemed crazy long especially at the end of the day with tired, hungry, little ones. Is the scale the same at Pop or more compact? What are your recs for preferred close to transport but quiet too? We are still napping age...

Thanks so much!

The layout of POP is nearly identical to AoA, except for the LM section, which is a long haul from the food court and buses. Your preferred room at POP will definitely be much closer.

22 days here... I can not wait! My first time at POP was in June and loved it! When we do long trips we budget and stay at the values. POP is in such a good area! Close to Epcot, HS, TL, DTD. Love the lake, it's a nice area to walk/run around.

194 for me. :p I don't know how I'm going to make it! But only 2 weeks until I can make ADR's!

Once you make the ADR's sometimes it's easier to step away from the planning until you hit 60 days or so. But that's a personal choice. :)

POP is a very compact resort. I don't think there is any area that is considered "far" by anyone. That being said, 2 years ago, we stayed in a preferred pool view room overlooking the Hippy Dippy. It was so loud and they movies ran late (after 11pm). For little ones who still nap and need to go to bed earlier, this may be an issue. In November, you may not have as much activity in the pool area, but it is definitely something to keep in mind. My favorite area is the 60s overlooking the lake/bridge and AofA.
