Does anyone think that Disney is keeping track of the number of times I check the Fastpass + link on my "My Disney Experience" page? I have this magical thinking thing going on - that if I check the correct amount of times the magic band and plus stuff will suddenly be there. Oh well, in 32 days I will just show up and make the best of whatever I get.

I'm sure this has been answered, but to be completely honest, I'm too lazy to read through over 500 posts. :upsidedow

Is the Generation Bridge still there? Can you walk over to Art of Animation to check it out if you're staying at Pop?

Yes, walk over! No using their pool though. It's gated.

I'm slightly jealous of the August Magic Band people. Is there any word on testing during October?

So we are going in October - how do we know if we have been chosen?

I got my Magical Express in the Mail today, the screaming of excitement at my house...you'd think we just won the lottery:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Lol I thought I was the only whackadoo that thought like this but I've been the same way! I keep checking it every darn day. You're not alone. We leave in 35 days so we'll be there at the same time. I'm down with your magical thinking.

Checking in and expressing my LOVE for good ol' Pop!! I've hit all the All Stars (haven't made it to AoA yet - haven't managed to swing a discount Mermaid room :headache:) and Pop is 10000% my favorite value! DBF and I are fresh out of school so we can't afford much else - and it's just for sleeping anyway!

Every time we've gone to book another trip I hover over the All Star Movies page (DBF hasn't stayed there and we want to experience every resort at least once) but I just think about how CLOSER Pop is to everything that's not AK/BB in comparison and I can't do it!!

35 days till we check in!

What rooms can you see fireworks? Trying to decide to put in my room request. Also, if we forego fireworks request what rooms are standard that are close to dining and buses without being too far from everything else?

the first page has all this great info! including this map:
Refer to Pop Century 2012 Map.

Refer to Pop Century 2012 Map. rats can't get the link to work and I have to get ready for work. the link is on page one, as well as tons of other detailed maps of the rooms and fireworkks info, ..everything!

Super Excited! Just booked Nov 11-18th! Bringing my dear mom/dear grandmother with us this time. It will be her first visit to Disney.

Congrats! Sounds awesome! Be sure to get a picture in front of the Tree of Life with all of the generations together. We had a 4 generation pic on our first trip with the kids, and it is one of my favorite photos from all of our trips. Have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

No, they have separate buses, but there have been very few exceptions to that. Mostly when AoA was in the opening stages and occupancy was very low.

And my experience when we shared (which was not often out of my 38 nights) was when POP wasn't busy and AoA was overrflowing! We would only have say 2 to 5 people at our POP bus stop and they would then dispatch our bus over to AoA because they would have MORE than a few bus's worth of people queued up and waiting to go to a park. I think in happened 3X in all of my 6 trips this year. It is definitely NOT the norm, but it CAN happen, even now.

we're checking into POP in 28 days, but who's counting? :cool1:
I haven't been to disney in 3 years , the last time I was there was during my college program.
Do 'welcome packets' still come in the mail before you leave for your trip?

Hey all, love the info!

We are staying at Pop preffered room in November. The only thing I have to compare it to is AoA. We were in LM rooms earlier this year...that walk from the busses to LM rooms and the dining hall seemed crazy long especially at the end of the day with tired, hungry, little ones. Is the scale the same at Pop or more compact? What are your recs for preferred close to transport but quiet too? We are still napping age...

Thanks so much!

I edited myoriginal post. I was going to say to be SURE of being close to transportation book preferred. then I saw this:

darn. it won't let me clip on the "bowing" smilie!!! aargh! good work, simba.

we had a standard room just to the right of the black dot. it was great! not far at all to either the bowling pin pool or the hippie dippy pool. not far to the food court or the bridge to AOA.

Do you remember your room number?
