Subbing to this thread I'm planning my fifth Disney World Stay September of 2013 (hopefully they will do free dining again) at POP. This will be my first time staying at POP so I am really looking forward to it.

I am hoping to find a new Value home. I am an ASsports girl but my last trip (just a couple of weeks ago) there were cheerleaders and dance troupes there and let me tell you they were RUDE. Cheering at all hours of the night, nobody could sleep, it was awful. Anyways other than that my vacation was fabulous but I am definitely looking for a new Disney Home.

This past visit was my DD8 first Disney trip and she is so sad it's over I decided to surprise her with another trip next year and it's not going to be just the two of us this time. My mother, brother and his fiance are coming along as well! I am not planning on telling her until the morning we leave so I hope I can keep the secret that long. This will be my first time visiting in September so I am hoping it's a nice time to go Anyways, I have read this whole thread and a big to Janet and everyone else for being so knowledgeable about POP. This next year and 4 months needs to go by fast!

Welcome! How exciting to be planning a surprise trip for your DD (don't think I could keep surprise going, but hopefully you have more willpower! ) September is usually hot/humid as the summer months are, but you may have a little bit less crowds (our trips are in mid to late August for FD). Historically, the september months have included FD, so it's a good indication for next year for you.

Another plus is that the Halloween party starts in Sept (usually the 2nd week) and it is a blast! Something to consider in your planning process

14 days until our first stay at POP! We usually stay at POR but we have 11 people so we thought we would give POP a try. We have stayed at all the other values and were not impressed. We have 3 rooms, worried that we will be split since reservations are in 3 different names and they no longer do grand gatherings.

Tried to do the online check in/request thing. Got this message back.

We were unable to add your special occasions or room requests. Please call (407) W-DISNEY or (407) 934-7639. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

Of course I will call (when the kids aren't around) but I wonder what the issue is? I requested 60's near transportation. Maybe they don't have any left?

BTW we leave in 7 days.

We arrive in 14 days too We have 2 rooms, requesting connecting as we have 4 children.

We have stayed at ASMO, we really enjoyed it. It was quite some time ago. We stayed at POP in January for the first time. We loved the grounds, and we hardly explored most of it as it was just me and DH for 4 nights. This time we are going for 11 nights with the kids and are so excited! We did walk the bridge and walk a bit around the lake. It is very peaceful and beautiful.

We loved the Everything POP. What a great gift shop, and a lot of variety at the food court. All the things I have read about it being busy we never saw. However we were usually there very early in the morning or mid afternoon. Mousekeeping was excepitonal ALL the CM's we interacted were wonderful, which is more than I can say about our AKL trip

They should be able to link the reservations and put one of you as the contact for all three. We are going with my sister's family in September and that's how we have it set up since I'm doing all the planning (and paying, but that doesn't affect the reservation)

Allow a full hour from the bus stop ... buses start at 6:30 am so you should be good on taking busing.

I know it's a little early, but how long does it take to get from POP to each of the parks? I wanna be there for rope drop every morning and I am a bit nervous about taking the busses since we stayed on the monorail last time. Any advice or help would be appreciated

Hi! We are returning to Pop in a few weeks and have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could help me out with.

We will have a car for the first few days of our trip. What are my options for grocery/supply shopping? I'd love to stay reasonably close to Pop, but I also want the prices to be decent. I will be buying water, pop, beer, bread, cereal, etc. What grocery stores are nearby?

I was going to call for our room request. We normally request 70's section (non-preferred), upper floor, lakeside. I still want to be in the 70's section, but I think we'd like to stay in the other 70's building closer to the parking lot and bus stop. What building number is that building?

Janet....yes there was a bounce back but we are Disney'd out for a few weeks at least....takes that little time and then VOILA we are thinking about another visit ...We have AP's and also TIW card....


THE PRINCESS breakfast at Norway was outstanding...good choices in the get what you want room....They bring the eggs, bacon, LG sausages, and potato casserole out to the table with a huge glass of OJ and coffee for us adults and the kids had OJ and milk or whatever they wanted....The room to the side had fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese, and did I say FRESH fruit...YUMMY...they had applesauce and granola and different types of yogurt...more but heck if I can remember that...The princess's take so much time with each table....Our rug rats were great and loved every moment of it...WE have done the dinner in Norway and didnt do it again...ONLY because the food was not to the kids liking...very authentic types of foods...But again that was our choice...not because it wasnt good..

We also did Crystal Palace (excellent) and Biergarten (FANTASTIC)...crystal Palace had a platter with candies on it and strawberries with chocolate on it and Congratulations on our 45 Anniversary...very surprised and touched by that....

best CS places for different options ...were Cosmic Rays...The half chicken with mashed taters and green beans was great...so moist and I was happy...they had a good amount of choices for all of us...Another great place was Seasons at the Land....fantastic again...

Wished I could of had a burger with a good ol' fashion white bun...oops...as we dont usually do burgers at home but also loved them at the resorts...another wish was they took away spaghetti and meatballs everywheres with a side salad and breadstick....missed that choice...

I saw this asked before, but did not see a response (or I may have overlooked it!!)...Where do they show the movies at night? Is it always in one location or do they move them around? I think last year when we were there, they had it by Hippy Dippy pool, but then another night it was moved to somewhere else.

Weird. It could be a glitch, perhaps try it tomorrow? Definitely call as well. Let us know what Disney says. And for a week!!

For the room location request, it is Bldg 10 that is closer to the parking lot (and busing). Not sure about the grocery question perhaps someone else will chime in. Do know there is a Walmart very close by.

Movies are usually by the Hippy Dippy Pool on the grass between the 60s/start of 70s.

For 3 months and Petals!! We arrive on the 19th!

For all you guys all arriving in 2 weeks! Seems like coming in on Memorial day weekend was popular.

Shannon ... we love Everything POP / Food court set up. We are always stopping in to get a drink or look at the store (trading pins for DD!) both going to the parks and coming back after the day.
