Pop Century Location/Bus Service

Where is Pop Century located in relation to the other value resorts. Will it have it's own bus transportation or will the bus have to go to other resorts first?

Pooh93, to answer your question relating to its location, it is close to CBR & World of Sports. As to bus service, i have not heard as of yet but i will be interested in following this thread since we will be at Pop Century in July 2004. Can't wait to hear some trip reports from those who will be staying there after the opening date in December.

Pop Century will NOT be sharing with any other resort. Why? Because it has so many rooms, it will be crowded enough on its own. The only reason buses make multiple stops is because a resort does not create enough demand to warrant it's own bus. (It has NOTHING to do with Value/Moderate/Deluxe) Pop Century will be the equivilent of All-Star Movies plus half of Music when it first opens, and the equivilent of all three All-Stars when complete. My guess is that when it's complete, there will be two separate buses for it (Classic and Legendary) similar to how there are three separate buses for the All-Stars at times. (Sports, Music, Movies)



As for location, Pop Century is in a great location. Approximate travel times:

Magic Kingdom: 12 minutes
Epcot: 7 minutes
Studios: 5 minutes
Animal Kingdom: 5 minutes (12 mins with stop at BB)
Downtown Disney: 12 minutes
Blizzard Beach: 7 minutes

I haven't heard, but I'm thinking there might be a possibility that Blizzard Beach gets a figure 8 similar to how the All-Stars gets. Currently that route runs DAK -> ASR -> BB -> ASR -> DAK. However, it is possible that it will be BB/AK like other resorts.

CnD Express...it does sound like a great location! I remember seeing it in the preliminary stages last time we were there.

And Goof, if I can get this together, we will be there from June 19-26 2004. I would be more than happy to provide a full report. Normally we stay at CBR, but I am thinking of giving this a try.

Pooh93, we stayed at CBR in 2002 and loved it. We decided this time around that since we will be spending more time in the parks than at the resort that we would go with a value resort this trip unless disney comes up with a decent discount for the moderates next year. Have a wonderful disney time!

Thanks. CBR is the only place we've stayed. Our honeymoon '93 and twice since when the kids were really small. If this turns out a "flop" which I doubt, my dh will be ready to pick up his bags and move next door to CBR!
