I disagree about the practice of saving chairs at the pools. Has anyone brought with them or seen a collapsable camp chair on deck? Would there be room for a couple of these?

I've been on three cruises and have never seen a person with any type of chair that they brought onto the ship.

Even though people do save chairs we've never had a problem with finding others.

Wherever you would find room for a chair of your own, you will be able to find a chair. It is just very near the pool on the chaise-type lounges where the chair saving occurs.

I lug enough with me when I cruise...darned if I am going to bring a chair with me too!!!!

It really is not that bad unless you were wishing for a chaise right near the pool. As I have posted before on the other pool chair thread...we have ALWAYS (on 10 cruises) found chairs/chaise loungers on Deck 10.

As I posted on the other thread about saving chairs:

Everytime I read about the saving lounge chairs issue it infuriates me! I will have absolutely no problem whatsoever removing items form a "saved" chair that has been a idle for let's say 30 minutes. If the so called "owner" returns I'll point out the no saving pool chairs policy to them politely and go about my business. I think we need to unite against these rule breakers so things will change!! Anybody with me? Still looking for members in the "Reclaiming Pool Chairs Club";)

Im with you! Mickeys pool was the worst. I had to have a chair close by so I could watch my dd 6 in the pool everyday. I had to move someone elses clothes from "their" chair on more than one occasion. There was almost NEVER any chairs around the Mickey or the Goofy pools.

You can consider me a member of the "Reclaiming Pool Chairs Club".

I'm a proud reclaimer! Or actually, I would be if we used pool chairs. We spend all our time in the hot tub, so we just find a ledge to put our stuff. But I can join the WDT Branch (Walt Disney Theater). My husband once was getting ready to sit down on the lefthand side of a row just as a woman arrived at the righthand side. She said, "You can't sit there." I'm saving this whole row." He totally ignored her...I was right behind him, so I was just waiting for her to say something else, but she held her tongue. I can see saving a couple of chairs if your family is getting drinks, in the bathroom, or even running behind in the stateroom, but a whole row? Get real!
