Sooo..here we are again friends! I’m at Poly ..thinking of meeting with my guide..should I go for the direct, yes or no?? Exactly how many direct points exactly do you all suppose I need ️?? My husband says 300, I say 150. What to do

Just have to say, love the thread "title."

Given what I will lovingly refer to as your prior indecisiveness on this matter, meet with your guide at the end of your trip and give yourself the full 7 days after your tour to make a decision. Then, even if you decide to go for it, you'll have another 10 days after that to change your mind.

(Only caveat - if you have/want a February UY, you will want to decide before 2/1 and before about 1/25 if you wanted to do magical beginnings)

Depends on the goal, 150 really doesn't go far at Poly though. For us we settled with 200 in total because that was enough to get a 1/2BR for a few nights a year and thats all we need out of it since we have a healthy amount of RIV and a small amount of AKV for our WDW stays already. I don't recall what the makeup of your membership is but if you actually want to stay in a 1BR+ at Poly for a prolonged period you're probably going to be leaning closer to 300 at least.

Sure. 150 locks in extras. Two of them, you will have two that qualify if dump one. (Large point contracts are just a pain to sell in an emergency). Eat the extra closing. Worth it. (Yes, I’d do 150/150 getting all the same incentives as 300).

Poly is nice but a points hog. I would definitely split anything 200 pts or more into 2 or more contracts for resale. We have 375 points at poly, 100 of which is direct. That gives us enough points for a 2 bedroom theme park view for 6 nights at spring break every OTHER year.

Ha! i’m actually staying at the boardwalk, but we did a monorail crawl today..and we both fell in love with Poly..
