Hi Susan :wave2:

My family dynamics are the opposite of yours. I love my inlaws and consider them my true family. My DSILS ae more like sisters to me than my own sister ever was or will be. On my side I only have my mom but DH has a big family and I love them all.
Hi! funny thing is I had/have a great relationship with ex/dhs family. just not him. :rotfl2: his mom is such a nice, good hearted woman. his grandmother God Rest Her Soul was such an angel. She was this cute tiny rolly poly woman the kind you want to pick up and squeeze with a big hug. She was always smiling and ready with a big wet kiss. Even his dad again God Rest His Soul as strict as he was, you knew if you needed help he'd be there without a moments hestitation. Just like my family. His aunts, uncles, sisters, cousins, all wonderful people.

To this day, EXs mom treats DD- Allison who is my now DHs daughter better then DHs mother. No relation but is so much more loving and kinder. :confused3

Wow Tig, you're quite the eclectic group aren't you? A Jewish, Morman, Gay, flip flop wearing group. Do you have room for a nice Protestant girl? I do wear flip flops, if that helps. :thumbsup2

Susan, do you still see your ex-MIL?

yes. I guess you find that odd too just like a girlfriend of mine. I don't see anything odd about that. :confused3 she is a very nice lady.
as a matter of fact when Allison needed to interview a senior citizen (was suppose to be grandparent) and my dad was to sick to answer the questions we went to my ex-MILs house. She had cookies, goldfish crackers she ran out to buy for Allison and had pop for her. She even called ex and told him we were coming. (he still has feelings for me after all these years- 13 yrs)
He found this to be the perfect oppurtunity to talk to me alone while his mom and Allison where talking.

This part is strange. Believe it or not he has on many occasions asked if he and his gf could come to some of Allison's birthday parties. Had Debbie (other DD25- his daughter) ask me if they could come. Said they would bring a very nice gift if they could. :confused3

he is now trying to see if he can horn in on our family reunion and come to that. :confused3

I admit when my mom passed away he came to the wake and when his dad passed away I went to that wake, but I don't see anything wrong with that. Again others made the comment that they thought that was weird. I just looked at it as paying our last respects.

No! I don't think it's odd at all. I think it's nice. If I ever got rid of DH (which I'm not going to, he's already trained) I would keep his family. Most of the time I like them more than him anyway. :rotfl2:

yep, I agree. this DH is for keeps. even though at times he annoys the :furious: you know what out of me sometimes.

he thinks it is funny when I am screaming and flinging myself. :confused3
he does and says things on purpose to make me go
Allison runs and hides during those moments.

Oh, don't forget my atheist (and outspoken) brother and my wild sister (I guess she'd maybe still call herself, but I'm not sure about that). Probably a couple groups that I'm forgetting. We basically cover most anyone and accept everyone as long as they are accepting. :rotfl2: And we're as noisy and you can imagine. No surprise, I suppose. :teeth:

What a fun bunch! I wish I had a big family....sniff sniff. I have 6 brothers and sister and only have a relationship with 2 of them. And those two live in other states, have their drama and I don't seem them much either. We're just going to settle in with our little own family and enjoy a somewhat fun day with the kids!

Hey everyone!
Just watching some Spongbob.

Today I am going to get my roots done (my 7 year old ds told me my hair was changing colors....) and go shopping for Easter dinner.

None of my family lives close, which is a bummer. One sister lives in the panhandle of FL and one in Oklahoma and I have brothers who live in CA and NV, but they rarely keep in touch. But my sisters and I e-mail. I wished we all lived closer and I esp wish that we lived closer to my mom, who lives in Oregon. Most of us will get together in Nov for my son's Bar Mitzvah and I'll make sure I get the flashing magnets for my sister to put on her shirt (on her booobs) like she did at Ben's Bar Mitzvah. :rotfl: I'll take pictures and post here. ;)

Just invite us, we want to see the flashing booobs in person!

The flashing lights were hilarious, to say the least and everyone assumed that she was drunk. One couple walked up and the guy tried his darnest to have a conversation with her without his eyes drifting there. Even now when I'm talking with his wife and the topic of one of my sisters comes up she says, "that one?" and points to her chest. :rotfl: Put 2 of us sisters together and we're silly, but all three of us together and we are over the top.

Teva, too bad that I can't go on the ladies DIS meet and then could talk my sister (that one :teeth: ) into going. She would so fit in. :rotfl:

Speaking of the couple that I mentioned, they were at Universal studios this last week and I talked them into staying one night at Royal Pacific to have the front of the line access. They didn't want to spend the $ since they tend to be pretty conservative with their money, but trusted my advice. They called me from Orlando, thanking me. They said that they kept walking around the park and every time they avoided a line one of them said, "Thank you, Linda!". :rotfl: So she had to call me and tell me. Of course I was SO excited for them.

Hey, my DH thinks that he has enough points on USAirways to send Jake and me to Orlando. Now I need to look into it and see if he does, if there is time to redeem the points, etc. So maybe, just maybe, I can eek a trip out. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Keep your fingers crossed!

I hope you and Jake can go! Good luck!

I wish you and your sister were going on the Ladies only trip too! I know we would have a ball.

I love how it feels right after you get a haircut. :cloud9:
I wish I had a hair stylist to do my hair every day.

Me, too! One of eight and only three are worth having a relationship (well, two ,but I feel bad for the third).

We were supposed to have people over, but now we'll have a quiet day with the kids.

Yep. :goodvibes

We are having 8 adults (including us) and 3 kids over for Easter. :woohoo:
Oh, and I'm an only child.

Steph, would I be totally crazy to fly across the country with Jake and go to DL instead of WDW? If I'm able to redeem frequent flyer miles I'm half tempted to use them to go far away, but my heart rate is racing thinking about planning a major trip in 2 weeks. To a place that I haven't been in 4 years and to a place that I've never really driving around in. It would be cheaper since I can stay a few days with my in-laws, but driving in southern CA? :faint: :scared: I'm thinking no. WDW is so easy. I know how to do it, but DL would be fun and Jake has never been there. I don't know if I'm up for an "out of my element" activity of this magnitude right now. :rotfl:
