OMG, the tag fairy had to go looking a few days back I think to give me my new tag! :rotfl2: My face turned bright red when I saw that one! I will kind of miss my homemade tags that the TF erased to give me my new tag, but I can't argue with my new tag... :teeth:

Congrats on the new tag, better you than me. I keep checking on mine to see if I've gotten a new one, I've said some really out there stuff lately and I'm scared. :lmao:

Where have you all been? I went to a high school post-prom fund raiser bingo night. It was fun, in spite of the fact that I didn't win anything. Hey, any night out is a fun night! :rotfl:
that's true! :cool1:

And last night it was a bunch of other parents that obviously don't get out enough! :rotfl:

Merle, I'm fine planning and when I go with my sister I rarely consult her. I tell her to speak up if there's anything special that she wants to do and if there's something that I'm doing with Jake that she doesn't want to do we can meet back up after whatever it is. That rarely happens, though. I'm not too commando, but she has got to experience how some planning means that more rides can be ridden, etc.

When she used to go with her grown kids (and gradkids), they didn't even know about the baby swap, getting to the park at opening, which rides get busy, etc. Pretty much all I do is to go to the rides that get busy first, and then wing it. They were never able to go on favorite rides more than once. And her DD would spend hours shopping, which I never do. I might stop by a gift shop, but I usually save shopping for a trip to Downtown Disney.

allison is 12 or 13? then she would be a maid of honor, matron is a married person. and I don't think that someone that age would be expected to throw a shower. But maybe she could help whoever is throwing the shower with decorations or something. Congratulations!
 how stupid of me. of course maid of honor. Allison is actually 11 now. She will be 12 this July. Depending on the date she will be 121/2 or 13 when Debbie gets married.

The other girls standing up are Debbie's cousin all out of state. It would be hard for them to plan a shower. Also her future SIL who also is out of state. I shouldn't worry about this now since it is a whole year away.

Susan, you are a mom, you are supposed to worry about these things far in advance. It's the way we are hard wired!

Speaking of moms, where is teva and luv? Seems that they are MIA.

Hiya!

We had a great weekend in the woods. Got to see some great sights...relaxed.
I think the dd and I will finally go to the mall today. I have a coupon for the Disney Store and I wanted to get the kids those little luggage thingys. I hope they have them, now that I want to buy them!

How was everyone's weekend?

What are luggage thingys? Lollys, perhaps?

I'm supposed to be vacuuming, but now Aerosmith Sweet Emotion is on the radio and I can't leave it to vacuum... I'm never going to vacuum. :rotfl:

I'm here!!!

Had a yucky Sunday--Chris and I were driving to the grocery store when I lost the steering in my car and then the car went dead! :furious: Luckily we were still in our neighborhood and not on a big road, because of the lack of steering I ended up sideways in the road! Just waiting for the garage to call with the $$$ damage... :headache:

luv, so glad you weren't out in traffic! Yikes!

We just bit the bullet last week and made a $1500 repair on our "old" van (really not that old-- 6 years old, but old compared to our new Odyssey). It's the van the we started having problems with and why we got the Ody, but then we decided to keep it afterall, so got the repairs. Hopefully it won't need any major repairs for awhile.

I'm so sleepy. Woke up with a migraine, so took my meds and I just want to go to sleep. But I will fight it off and stay awake or I won't be able to sleep tonight.

I'm kind of worried about my WDW trip since the AAA agent never sent to final confirmation e-mail that I was supposed to initial and send back to her. I should call her, but first I'm going to have my DH check the credit card to see if anything was charged. And of course I checked and Disney is totally sold out. She better not have messed up or I will not be happy since I have the air already booked. Then I'll have to scramble and book offsite, get a rental car, etc, etc. I just don't have a good feeling for some reason. Probably will be fine and I'm just overreacting...

Just heard back from the agent and she said that everything is set with Disney--she just ran out of time on Friday to send out the e-mail. I'll just feel better when I see it since this is all so last minute. The planner in me is going crazy! :rotfl2: I'm ok with not planning the parks, dining (except for Prime Time Cafe, my favorite place), but where we're sleeping had me a little worried. :scared1: I'm so wound tight lately, anyway, that I don't need a complication!

Yea!!!!!!!!! We are going to Disney world! :cool1: :Pinkbounc

I need to plan some stuff too. Our friends ended up planning on going a bit after we decided. I need to call and see if I can change our ADRS's to something they can go to also. The thing is I really want to keep our ADR's, (1900 park fare and Coral Reef.) I have a feeling I won't be able to change from a table for 4 to 8 too easily. :guilty:

Either way I need to get on it right now. :thumbsup2

PhD, I would guess that as long as you're somewhat flexible with your times that you can add your friends. Or at least you can get another table of 4. It's not as if the restaurants should be totally booked.

I really only care about Prime Time, but I think I'll bring Jake to Sci Fi since Alyssa and I had so much fun there in January. I'm sure I told that story, but we'd never been there before. I need to remember the names of the CMs that we met there so I can look them up again at the MK. I still have fastpasses that they gave us in January. :rotfl:

Also, I haven't told Jake about the trip, but I need to post a new message to get ideas about how to tell him since I want to so a scavenger hunt. I had a dream about it last night, but in my dream it was real hard, like the Amazing Race. I had Jake and my 12yo figuring out how to get to Camden Yards (the baseball stadium in Baltimore, MD) on their own. :rotfl: I don't think I'm going to make it quite that hard on Jake. :lmao:

We're not doing the dining plan, but I keep second guessing myself about that, too. And I'm second guessing myself about not renting a car, mainly because I want to go to the grocery store and am hesitant about doing Magical Express even though Alyssa and I did it in January and liked it. But I don't want to be buying bottled water all the time (I'm VERY cheap when it comes to that sort of thing  ). Can you tell that I'm just driving myself crazy? :) I think that I might just pack some waters in a suitcase and then buy some. I really can do that. :rotfl2:

How was everyone's weekend?

My weekend was too short, and it rained and it rained and it rained!! :umbrella: :umbrella: :umbrella:

Are you back from the mall yet? Did you get the luggage thingys??

I am thinking about a latte :scratchin :coffee:

I wish it would have rained, rained, rained this weekend. I am tired of all the brush fires.

All of these Disney trips, how exciting! :goodvibes

Not words that you want yelled from your 15yo... I told him to flush so he doesn't clog the toilet. For crying out loud, he's 15yo. I feel like dr mom around here. First my college DD called me from Wal-Mart on Saturday wanting to know what cold medicine to buy. I told her not to buy anything that her body knew what best to do when it had a cold and that she shouldn't take a bunch of medicine (I'm not big on OTC meds for colds when a person can avoid it). And that was only the beginning of playing dr for the weekend. :lmao:

:rotfl2: I'd probably make my 6yo do his own kit. :teeth: We're like a bunch of middle-schoolers on this thread with our toilet talk, etc. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Merle, you'd like what Jake said a few minutes ago. He's working on his kindergarten homework and he's working ahead, doing Wednesday's homework since Zach has a baseball game on Wednesday that Jake might go to. Jake asked where the game was and if it was far. I told him that it was far, that the game is in Columbia. Jake said, "don't they speak Spanish there?". :rotfl: I told him it wasn't that Columbia and we didn't have to go quite that far away, just towards Baltimore. And that yes, they do speak Spanish in the country Columbia. :teeth:

Oh! I love rain. It never rains here.

OK, here is my mall experience, because I need some input.
I went to the Disney store and they didn't have the luggage thingys (I mean the carryon/roller suitcases...) so I got the kids each a backpack. It was not what I wanted. I am going to put little things in them for the trip to DL.

Went to Gymboree. Bought clothes for DS in size 7. I had bought a ton of stuff in size 8 and it is way too big.

Bought the kids giftcards for Build-a-Bear for their Disneyland bags.

Tried on some Chanel sunglasses. I want them. REALLY BADLY! I didn't buy them though. I need to think about it. I am lusting over them.

Then I went to buy the purse I have been wanting. I stood at the counter and looked in the glass. I saw another one I liked (of course) so I looked at both. I could not make up my mind. :guilty:

So I did not get any.
I did just notice that there are new bags on the coach website.
OK, I need cheering up now. I hate mall trips like this!!

(Help me justify the sunglasses)
