Yeah I like both those totes. As for the sunglasses, I heard you are moving to a very sunny place. :rolleyes1
yes I know you live in a sunny place now, but who cares!

Oh! I love rain. It never rains here.

OK, here is my mall experience, because I need some input.
I went to the Disney store and they didn't have the luggage thingys (I mean the carryon/roller suitcases...) so I got the kids each a backpack. It was not what I wanted. I am going to put little things in them for the trip to DL.

Went to Gymboree. Bought clothes for DS in size 7. I had bought a ton of stuff in size 8 and it is way too big.

Bought the kids giftcards for Build-a-Bear for their Disneyland bags.

Tried on some Chanel sunglasses. I want them. REALLY BADLY! I didn't buy them though. I need to think about it. I am lusting over them.

Then I went to buy the purse I have been wanting. I stood at the counter and looked in the glass. I saw another one I liked (of course) so I looked at both. I could not make up my mind. :guilty:

So I did not get any.
I did just notice that there are new bags on the coach website.
OK, I need cheering up now. I hate mall trips like this!!

(Help me justify the sunglasses)

YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED THE SUNGLASSES!!!!!!!! Your must protect your retinas! (and look fabu doing it). The sunglasses are like health insurance. Really, they are! I'm not kidding - sunglasses are preventive medicine!

You all are so funny with the shopping. If you buy half as much as you shop for I hate to think of your CC bill! :lmao:

I don't buy one-tenth of the stuff I shop for.

Merle, you'd like what Jake said a few minutes ago. He's working on his kindergarten homework and he's working ahead, doing Wednesday's homework since Zach has a baseball game on Wednesday that Jake might go to. Jake asked where the game was and if it was far. I told him that it was far, that the game is in Columbia. Jake said, "don't they speak Spanish there?". :rotfl: I told him it wasn't that Columbia and we didn't have to go quite that far away, just towards Baltimore. And that yes, they do speak Spanish in the country Columbia. :teeth:

Well, there are a lot of Hispanic people in Columbia, so technically they do speak Spanish there. :teeth: :lmao:

PhD, I would guess that as long as you're somewhat flexible with your times that you can add your friends. Or at least you can get another table of 4. It's not as if the restaurants should be totally booked.

I really only care about Prime Time, but I think I'll bring Jake to Sci Fi since Alyssa and I had so much fun there in January. I'm sure I told that story, but we'd never been there before. I need to remember the names of the CMs that we met there so I can look them up again at the MK. I still have fastpasses that they gave us in January. :rotfl:

Also, I haven't told Jake about the trip, but I need to post a new message to get ideas about how to tell him since I want to so a scavenger hunt. I had a dream about it last night, but in my dream it was real hard, like the Amazing Race. I had Jake and my 12yo figuring out how to get to Camden Yards (the baseball stadium in Baltimore, MD) on their own. :rotfl: I don't think I'm going to make it quite that hard on Jake. :lmao:

We're not doing the dining plan, but I keep second guessing myself about that, too. And I'm second guessing myself about not renting a car, mainly because I want to go to the grocery store and am hesitant about doing Magical Express even though Alyssa and I did it in January and liked it. But I don't want to be buying bottled water all the time (I'm VERY cheap when it comes to that sort of thing  ). Can you tell that I'm just driving myself crazy? :) I think that I might just pack some waters in a suitcase and then buy some. I really can do that. :rotfl2:

My God, Woman! No wonder you've got a headache! Breathe!

T&B- When we went last June we surprised the kids. We celebrated my DN 5th birthday the Sunday before we left and we had the kids do a scavenger hunt for puzzle pieces around my sister's house and neighborhood. We had four puzzles, one for each child and to get to each piece she had a riddle to where the piece was. Some of the places she hid them in was the dryer, the rain spout, on the front doorbell, the real estate sign in her front lawn and a bunch of others. Once they collected all their pieces they put the puzzles together and we left out one piece, it had a stamp of Mickey's head on it. We sent them to look for the last piece while we put all four puzzles together. There was a poem about "seeing me in the hot sun".

We had been telling the kids for 6 months we were going to Cape Cod. :teeth: The minute my friends oldest, he was 10, read it he threw his hands in the air and said "We're going to Disneyland"

Merle, cute about the puzzle pieces. I should have planned this more in advance and could have gotten more elaborate with how I could tell Jake.

teva, you're right, I need to breathe!!! :rotfl2:

Oh, that reminds me...have you all seen the new Ben & Jerry's flavors? The Magic Brownie flavor was really yummy, but didn't give me the buzz that I remember from my college years! :teeth:

Briar, yeah, about 1/10...that's about the right formula. :lmao:

OK. Here is my idea how to tell him (this will only work if he has the right personality for it. My ds would NOT do this...dd is only 2 but I think in a few years she would...)

Get him a bag/backpack/luggage thingy/lolly full of 'Disney stuff.' If you have a Disney store near you this will probably be easier...maybe you can get him that book...WDW For Kids By Kids at Barnes and Noble...a coloring book at Target...you get the idea.

The other thing you need is yarn a whole skein (or however you spell it). Tie one end of the yarn to his doorknob (or maybe the door to the house since you could do it after school...before would take too much time). Run the yarn ALLLLLL over the house. Up and down and in and out....the other end is tied to the backpack lolly. :yay:

Briar, I'd have to do it just before he came home so that our kittens wouldn't get into it! :rotfl: I could hook some clues onto it that he could come to before getting to the end.

Ahhh...yes the kitties could be a problem. Clues would be cool. Paperclipped on the yarn or something...

I could lock the kittens up before hand. I don't think the cats would get into it. Not sure about the dogs.

Mornin' snarkies! :wave2:
This has nothing to do with anything but we're breaking down and getting dd a cell phone for her birthday next month. (SSHHH!! It's a secret!) Anyway, I'm going to wrap it in a bazillion boxes and then when she starts to unwrap it one of us is going to call the number. Ba-ha-ha!

I love that my kids (except for Jake) have cell phones. No excuse not to be in touch with us and it's so muc easier when we're out places. It was nice when we were at the amusement park a few weeks ago and the kids could be doing their own thing all day, but we could be in touch. As nice for me as it is for them.
