She hasn't really needed one up until now because she hasn't really been left anywhere where somebody wouldn't have a phone to use or I'd just give her mine. But she's going to be 12 and wants to ride her bike to friends' houses this summer a couple of blocks away. I want her to be able to call and tell me she made it there ok.

Our boys got them when they were 12 and 15yo. Our DD was 15, I think. Our 15yo son didn't really need it before then since he doesn't go many places, but our 12yo goes out in the neighborhood a lot more, goes to baseball, and has turned a lot more social (this was the very shy kid).

I'm watching AI now. Took awhile to get Jake in bed and then he was complaining that his tummy hurt. Taylor is on now--I'm not a big Taylor fan and I was underimpressed. Glad that you liked Chris. I like him a lot.

I thought that Katherine and Elliott were OK, but I really liked Chris. Sexy is the word that came to mind. Glad that my DH wasn't in the room to hear me say it (or my 12yo, for that matter).

Nope, haven't told Jake. Figured I would tell him Thursday since the girl I take care of won't be over (so I won't rub her nose in it). Actually, her mom has been sick the last couple days so she hasn't been over, but I didn't know that would be the situation. Her mom picked her up on Friday and it looked like she had bad allergies, but it turned out that she had cellulitis and she ended up in the hospital for a few days.

Anyway, I plan on telling Jake on Thursday--will figure out a few clues and put them around the house, either with or without the yarn.

For some reason I do not like Katharine. I think she can sing okay but there's just something about her . I like Elliot. I think he has a great voice. But Chris. Wow. He can curl your toes.

I think Jake will be excited to go to WDW. For awhile he went so often he thought that it was just a normal thing to do, but hopefully he's over that (it's been 1 1/2 years). He thought that every time he needed a haircut he got to go to the Main Street Barbershop for a haircut!

I sure hope that Chris wins AI. Like I've said before--I think he's the whole package, with voice, charisma, looks, etc. They've never had a rocker, though.

I need to take a shower and get ready to volunteer in Jake's classroom. Trying to fill up with coffee first so it can run through me before I go to school.

Developed pictures? What's that? Now that I have a digital camera I haven't taken any film pics. I just got a new camera that I need to figure out how to use. I have a week to figure it out. It's one of the Kodak duel lens cameras--little enough to fit in a pocket.
