Since they've been discussed over and over ad nauseum for the past couple of years, one would think the boards would have adopted a standard, yet I haven't been able to decipher it. So let's do it now --

Answer the poll and defend your choice in the comments.

Please keep it clean...

It's the only version now. Just use FPs (no apostrophe necessary unless we're talking about something that belongs to them ;)).

Yes, this exactly. If you really want to add in the plus, then it would be FPs+, like surgeons-general or passers-by.

I only use FP (or FPs) now unless it's necessary to compare them or mention them both in a post for some reason.

Yesssss seems to be a new internet trend to add apostrophes to every plural. Makes me nuts. I drill it into my 6th graders' heads hoping to save the next generation.

For the record, it's an accepted use of an apostrophe to indicate plurals of acronyms or numbers...

It all depends on whose style manual you're using.

Yes, you're right. I think it bothers me so much all the other times (If I had a penny for ever time I saw "mom's" on my baby board...) that I wasn't paying attention to the actual post when I responded. But I'd still do FPs in this case.

Please, please, please, please do not use the apostrophe! An apostrophe is for possession. It is never meant to express a plural of anything. I don't care if you use FPs+ or FPs or FP+s but there should not be an apostrophe unless the FP owns something! Sorry, but just like fingernails on the chalkboard!

I was thinking the exact same thing. There aren't any other kind of fastpasses at this point.

Pluses ends with -es so really it should be FPes. :upsidedow

The apostrophe meets its fate
No possession the term does create.
The plus, it can stay
If folks think that it may.
In this pluralization debate.

However...

A poem does not equal debate
Regarding apostrophe's fate.
If you don't ever use it,
You'll possibly lose it,
And confusion and mayhem create.

As an extreme grammar geek, I say that plural uppercase abbreviations should be denoted with an apostrophe. Seriously, the rule is that specific.

Correct. Even though there is no possession, plural abbreviations are supposed to have apostrophes.
Seeing as the proper name from Disney is FP+ (even though there's no FP any more..) the name should be FP+. And its plural should be FP+'s .... :rolleyes1
The correct use of 'its' is a very common misuse of the good old apostrophe ( it's)..

EDIT: I'm glad I didn't write:
