We are in the process of closing on our house in 5 weeks and will be moving out of state. We have wonderful friends that are more like family here and would like to plan a going away/ graduation party. We would be inviting families and some of our kids friends. Right now I am guessing it will be between 70-80 people. Maybe more. We will be closing on our house 9 days after this. This means that much of our stuff will be packed up in boxes. I'm trying to figure out if this is even possible to pull off. We have a huge yard and deck. Plenty of space to throw an outdoor BBQ. Any suggestions on food and how much? If we supply all of the main food, drinks, if people ask if they can bring something, is it acceptable to ask for a treat to share? I'm also thinking we can put up a volleyball net and maybe some horseshoes. Any other suggestions? Things to do, decorations, food? Thank you for your ideas!

Heck yeah, I would request a side dish to share or dessert. That close to moving day, I would not go overboard. Maybe just some burgers and hotdogs/brats etc. You dont want to have a lot of leftovers to deal with so close to moving day imo.
