Planet Hollywood and ESPN club question

Can you order an appetizer as a meal on the Disney dining plan and does anyone know when you'll be able to make adr's for planet Hollywood for this fall? I know it's closed for refurb but it's not even listed as an option. Also why can't you make adr's for ESPN club?

ESPN has never taken regular ADRs. They do have a VIP package for football and maybe other events where you pay a certain amount.
Otherwise it is on a 1st come basis.

I wouldn't expect PH to take reservations until they have re-opened in case they fall behind schedule. But getting a walk up there wasn't difficult.

As far as I know you can only order Entree and dessert on regular DDP. You could ask to substitute the entree with an app, but I've never heard of anyone doing it and it would also be a waste of money compared to the price of the dining plan.

The third party restaurants will not let you order an app in place of the entree because they are reimbursed by Disney according to the rules of the plan. At a Disney owned restaurant you can ask, but have an entree in mind since the plan says an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic fountain beverage. Unless you are getting free dining you would have a hard time getting the value of the TS credit so it would be better to pay for the appetizer OOP and save the credit for a different meal.

We were at DS a couple of weeks ago, and Planet Hollywood, is well under construction, and not unless a ton of pixie dust, and they get the dwarfs off the mine train, are they going to be ready by this fall... But its Disney so magic does happen....

ESPN is basic pub food.. average at best...So you might want to rethink eating here, not unless you are wanting to watch a sporting event.

We are hoping for free dining!

Every year we go to ESPN club and get nachos it's became a tradition so we thought we would try to do that and they could order the nachos and I could get something else as an entrée (I'm not a fan of their nachos)

And Planet Hollywood we all enjoy it and are anxious to see the remodel!
