Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Just sitting here watching the app for today -another observation/prediction, people will need to spend as much time or more on phones as with Genie+ refreshing and hoping times open-there are so many attractions with no availability left would have plenty of availability with Genie+ at this same time.
For me, I believe the option to select an actual time range to the LLs will save me a lot of time monitoring and refreshing to modify times for later in the day. That's where I spent most of my app time, and I'll need to do that less.

I mean, to be fair what else are people going to book at Epcot for their tier twos? I say this as someone who adores Spaceship Earth, but in terms of wait times Epcot is really big lines at the tier one attractions and then everything else you can get on with minimal wait, often times walk on.
We never used G+ or even FP+ in Epcot or AK. I see no reason to use it with LLMP.

Curious to see how this progresses. I’ve been looking at the app for maybe about 10 minutes. Hollywood studios mainly because that’s where we usually purchase. Rrc, tot, tsm are gone already(and sdd but that’s normal). I’m sure refreshing would eventually get you a time. Star tours is out to 220. I’ve always found that to be pretty much able to be booked for immediate access even in the evening.

MK has iasw out to after 1. Everything else we would use it for is gone except for space at 9 pm.

Having three set up for the day is nice. But we will have to keep up with reports because if it’s slim pickings after that I don’t see the value for us. If we could atleast get 5 useful ones I’d be happy though.

Agreed, I think with LLMP AK is technically more worth it than Epcot since aside from FoP you can book whatever LL you want, but you can easily get through everything at AK without it still. But with Epcot I think LLMP makes it worth LESS than G+, given that you really can only book one LL that may actually prove useful. Not planning on buying LLMP for either park during my next visit.

Bought LL for MK this morning 8am. Took a couple refreshes got all of our rides for this evening, including Tiana’s.

Think we’ll prefer this, nice not checking every couple hours.

Star Tours only has a 10 minute standby line. I see Star Tours with a 11 AM experience time slot.

I think its going to be very much like Genie/old FP+ and refreshing will get you everything you want eventually. In my quick playing around ive seen rides come and go. At least we aren't going till end of August so we have plenty of time to figure out trends.

The one that shocks me for today, this minute is - Spaceship Earth- 7:50pm! I guess people are booking that as a first Tier 2 to quickly get on as they enter to make another selection.

Keep in mind Test Track is not available. Under FP+ this was a tier 1 attraction but just mentioning that it's unavailable at the moment. I'm not sure if having Remy around would push Test Track to a Tier 2 when it reopens or not.

Spaceship Earth makes sense for guests because it's the first attraction at the main entrance to the park but also because it's a relatively tame ride and amongst the options of Tier 2 is probably the most desirable for the bulk of guests.

Another thing is there is a shift from FP+ to this newer system. Disney will allow people to book all 3 of their pre-selections as a Tier 2. Under FP+ you had to select 1 from Tier 1.

Just read through the last 10 pages, It seems like everybody 'has' been able to pre book ride choices with satisfaction. What I'm also reading is that trying to modify usually results in late day times?

I think reviews over the next couple of weeks may give better insight into availability and those times for selections "#4,5,6".
If you can initially book 3 for morning of park visit but those additional picks are late day, all day park touring isn't the same as before - hopping would be the strategy?
I think we’ll get a more realistic idea of availability in about a week and a half. (Most people booking don’t have 2 week tickets.) Everybody booking today had a wide open system- something that will never be seen again.

Your understanding is correct. The question the person is asking is whether they can rebook another tier 1 at MK if it’s available and they tap into Tiana’s right away. The answer to that is also yes
So if I truly have no intention of riding any of the tier 2s (park hopping after a few hours), I'm best served by only booking the tier 1 I want and doing it as early as possible, and leaving the other 2 empty. Then hope for another tier 1 at this park and then 2 more for the evening park and booking all 3 after scanning at 1st attraction.

First off, I haven't been on these boards in forever - I now remember why I loved it here so much. Thanks for all the info posted here.

We have an upcoming trip 8/11 on-sight so I've been eager to see how this new system unfolds. I am nervous to say the least - I had a plan all mapped out but with folks able to grab time slots on my trip dates before I can (my 7 day window is 8/4) that plan may be ☠️ in the water already; at least with Genie plus I had a fair shot at early timeslots.

I was there on-sight 6/1 and felt like I finally found my mojo with Genie+

All I can do is laugh right now.

If that keeps up I expect some rapid changes to increase availability. Guest satisfaction is gonna plummet staring at a screen with no availability most of the day. Won’t matter you booked 3 days earlier as there is an expectation that you will be able to book more…

For the 28th which only hotel guest can book right now, Tiana is gone, Jungle cruise is available at 6 pm, both mountains have 9 o clock available. On August 1 Tiana is available for 3, Jungle for 11, and both mountains at 9. So resort guests definitely impact, but not all tier 1 is gone.
