Pirate Menu Changing This Week

I'm pleased to hear this. The Pirate menu is my least favourite. Really didn't like anything on it. Hope the replacement menu is good.

Happy to read this. Also my least favorite menu. We cruise 2 weeks from today!

I like the return to a more tropical theme. Jerked spices, coconut shrimps, fish dishes, fresh veggies, maybe a turkey leg.

I hope it changes fleet wide...it's our least favorite menu and we usually do Palo that night. If it's definitely changed, we'll cancel that Palo reservation and eat in the MDR instead.

NO!!!! That chicken was my favorite thing. I ate mine and some of my daughter's. I loved it so much the server gave me the recipe. Of course, I don't cook to feed 50 people at once, so it is difficult to make.

Any chance you can share the recipe or did they swear you to secrecy?

We got off the fantasy the 17th of September. We were also told then they were changing the pirate menu. They said like 75% of it was going away because that menu was the most time consuming to make that night. They felt like they needed to change it

Just off the Fantasy, will post more thoughts and feedback from things I learned here in a bit but thought this one deserved its own conversation.

On Pirate Night (Tuesday), our server shared that it was the last time that one was being served. After 18 years, they are changing the Pirate Night menu beginning on this week's sailings. We were encouraged to try everything as it's "all going away" and all new items are coming.

Hope someone aboard this week can share the new menu once revealed.

It was our least favorite menu of the week, though in theory we like that style of food but the execution was just OK compared to the rest of the week.
It's a step in the right direction. Now if they would only change all the other menus we might just start going to the Dining Rooms again ;)

I just hope they keep the crab cake... The main courses aren't spectacular, but I order 2-3 of those crab cakes each time!
They are still there as I had them last week :)

No worries, I also had this last week on the Magic!
And, if someone does, could they also send them to Scott at http://disneycruiselineblog.com/menus/ to be added to the menu information section? There's an email link there to do it.
I sent Scott pictures from the Magic and as you noted he's been backed up with Hurricane related posts. I was advised it was fleet wide as well and also told the dessert menu didn't change but I didn't pay too much attention to the dessert menu.

Hope this helps,
Heather

Scott has the menu posted now.
Yippeeee - off to look.....

Well, I was one of the few who liked the old menu. That's changed now. There's absolutely nothing in the appetizer/soup selections that I would order.

As for entree - depending on how spicy the jerk chicken is - I might get that. I would also give the lamb and strip loin a try before passing judgement on those.

I might wind up with the BBQ beef salad as a final recourse.

We were among those that actually really liked the previous Pirate Night menu. Loved that macadamia mahi mahi and the pot stickers! Not liking the looks of this menu, with the exception of the soups. That's going to be Palo night, I think.

Yeah, I love the ribs, too. Hope they have some type of BBQ meat on the new menu. And the pot stickers.
I'm with you on the short ribs!!! So so good. I always looked forward to those along and the pineapple with the coconut banana! We've sailed since 2001 and never missed a pirate night dinner!
